I'm right there with you. I live in Louisville, so I see what he has done first hand. Great coach, great recruiter, great character guy. There really isn't anything to not like about him.
Give us a little more information about what Charlie has done to impress you. I always thought he was a good DC, but with Florida's talent who hasn't been.
Crapthorpe left Louisville in bad shape, the kids had quit on him. Charlie came in and immediately got the players respect and got Louisville headed in the right direction. He got UofL to a bowl game last year with tons of freshman. Considering he is in the big east, he has recruited great. Put him at Tennessee in the sec, and I would imagine his recruiting would be through the roof. He's a players coach and demands excellence, doesn't make excuses. Very high character guy.
4 Wins b4 strong.That all sounds pretty good. I do like a defensive minded head coach and having one that's been in the SEC for many years would be a big plus. Since Charlie was at Florida for several years he has to have good contacts with HS coaches down there so I'd say if we are taking a chance hire, then Coach Strong sounds better than most.
