The Holly Bobo Kidnapping

the drugs thing is probably the truth in this case, as sad as it seems. i'm afraid it could have been a situation where she accidentally, or by acquaintance, new too much about something/someone.

As small as the community is, I imagine everyone there knows the goings-on of the meth trade. The need to kill someone for "knowing too much" should be a slim chance.

happened back where i grew up. someone who is "expendable" knows too much about someone who has too much to lose.

From a LE point of view..This is a very stressful type of investigation. I have no idea what is going on however I have made some calls and the info I have gotten is limited as well. I know the procedures and that the circimstances dictate their movements. I will not "monday morning qb" these guys. We can all speculate and it seems we have covered almost all of the possibilities. Again these type of investigations are something you can't leave at the office. Trust me, they will second guess themselves to death if this has an unfortunate ending.

Best community names in the area:

Sweetlips
Finger

My dad hails from Finger. I have fond memories of going to the Friday night Finger dance with my grandparents when I was a kid.

I once won a Trivial Pursuit game on the final question: Which state contains the communities: Sweetlips, Frogjump and Only?

I wanted to thank all of you who are providing updates to the search.

Properly pronounced "Fang-er".

After reading thru all this and not really having anything to add I just jumped on my police scanner app on my Droid and it has 70 listeners on that band. Most I ever seen on one channel is maybe 7. Not pertinent info but thought I would share.

Unfortunately for you guys a missed lead or an unturned one can be the difference between life and death. I don't envy that, but I can honestly say I respect the hell out of it.

It truly has everyone's attention. My dream, and I know it's beyond reason, is to have a Neyland Stadium-sized gathering at the fairgrounds and find this girl.

I can't begin to explain how many times I've had to charge the battery on my phone. Last thing you think of when u go to sleep; first thing u think about when u wake up. Looking at my kids thanking God they're with me. I'd be a basketcase if that happened to one of my kids. God help those ppl.

I have three kids. Two of which are girls. I cannot imagine the horror. Nice post.

What's amazing about this case is there are about 1,000 questions that haven't been answered......and maybe 2 that have. (Those being the day and time she went missing.)

I have three under age 8......and I agree. We've had a long talk in the last few days about what to do if anybody ever approaches them.....

And those have been disputed. Along with the actual happenings at the abduction. I.e. dragged, walked.

That we know of. I'm still thinking that they know something we don't. But you're right, not much is getting released for whatever reason.

I sure hope that Law Enforcement knows something and until they find something otherwise this will be a rescue effort.

Yeah, I heard that. My stepson, age 9, had a friend spend the night Friday night. Around midnight, he and his friend came out of his room as I'm heading down the hallway. I asked him where he thought he was going and he replied, "outside". I quickly explained to him that he wasn't and explained why. We live in a nice neighborhood but in today's world, you can't do things like that, especially at 9 yrs old. And this case proves that. The area that I live in is about the size of this Decatur Co community. Maybe that's part of the reason it bothers me so much. Lives can change in the blink of an eye, in any community, at any time.

True but the way I heard the rumor was that someone in her family may have owed money. So they take her. I don't know her family so I'm not going to judge them. This, along with MANY others, is just another possible scenario.
