The Holly Bobo Kidnapping

We live in a nice neighborhood but in today's world, you can't do things like that, especially at 9 yrs old. And this case proves that. The area that I live in is about the size of this Decatur Co community. Maybe that's part of the reason it bothers me so much. Lives can change in the blink of an eye, in any community, at any time.

it's a sad state of affairs. I remember being able to roam the neighborhood freely as a kid at all hours (maybe not midnight) and not have a care in the world.

Man, when I was growing up, and I'm 34, we use to always play Spotlight in several neighborhood yards. Don't see much of that anymore, and with very good reason.

yep, I'm 37 and we used to play hide and seek well after dark, hiding on neighbors' roofs, back yards, pool sheds, etc. often 2-3 streets over.

Unfortunately for you guys a missed lead or an unturned one can be the difference between life and death. I don't envy that, but I can honestly say I respect the hell out of it.

Its like talking a guy off a bridge....if you do....you were suppose too. If you don't.....nobody feels worse and you should of done this or that...

I don't think the search efforts have changed any today..I know they're setting up road blocks and questioning different people but I think that's about it.

Maybe I read to much in to the 'heavy police presence on Myracletown rd' . Thought that meant more than just roadblocks set up around

I didn't even hear about that..maybe some new developments have been found? I just know they're setting up at different places around the county.

Hope this doesnt upset anyone.
but in my mind...
With all the dogs searching, not finding a body by now has me hopeful. Like most though the time period that has lapsed is discouraging.

I'm 35. As a kid, I practically lived outside. My wife and I had to explain to our 10 year old why she couldn't walk to a friend's house in our subdivision. After Holly, we find out about this guy...

Maybe it's just parent-paranoia but the world seems like a much more dangerous place than the Reagan world I grew up in.

Sounds like he believes they need more authorities(fresh eyes) because they are not gaining ground. I have to say I agree

Is that what u got from the last part of his post? I understand the fresh eyes logic. Just couldn't understand what he was trying to say in the last part.

I'd say they just need more bodies to track down leads. I'd also say that means they really don't know much.

I've thought all along LE had much more to go on than they were letting on. Now, really doesn't look that way so much.
