I'm starting to wonder if the dude even exists anywhere but on message boards... why does no reporter ever ask about the guy?

This one person, or lack of a person, is the most baffling part of this.

I'm "law illiterate" when it comes to things like this but do the police need a warrant to check ex bf's phone records? I'm assuming the answer is yes? Maybe they're tailing him and that's why we haven't heard him mentioned.

Yeah the ex definitely exists I went to school with him..cant just throw his name out there for obvious reasons. He's been questioned but as far as I know no arrests have been made. There was some serious talk around the county yesterday that an arrest has indeed been made but nothing was ever made public which makes me believe it didn't happen.

It'd still have to be someone familiar with the territory though, right? I can't imagine an outsider coming in, doing that, and survive out in the woods for 6 days...if that's where they are.

Yeah it's someone from the area..can't put names obviously but the one that kept coming up yesterday and the guy that supposedly got arrested fits the description.

I'm just thinking that if the bro didn't call the cops until an hour after he last saw her......that's plenty of time for she and the perp to make it thru the woods, to a parked vehicle, up to I-40 and gone........which makes me wonder why they've always assumed she's still in the woods...... just thinkin out loud.

Well even into last night I kept hearing the same story over and over and it started to really pick up steam and make sense..then WBBJ said that no arrests had been made and there isn't a person of interest.

i don't get it either. seems likely the perp isn't still in the woods with that many people searching for her.
