The Hunter Biden Thread

So Hunter basically gets the future pardoning that was originally part of his plea deal..must be nice being untouchable

I don't think it wise to impeach a POTUS for using a power he is constitutionally granted

I think abuse of that power could still be a valid reason to impeach.

Granted, I wouldn’t bother with this specific scenario. He’s almost out of office and I don’t think the crimes are significant enough.

If we found out Hunter murdered or raped someone during that time period, then I’d fully support impeaching Biden for abusing his constitutional powers

This pardon was in the best interest of the Biden syndicate.

Anyone want to take bets on Joe issuing a similar pardon to his brother shortly before he leaves office?
Yeah good point. To completely cover his own ass Puddinhead has to give a blanket pardon to his brother also however currently I’m not aware of any pending indictments? So if it does happen the immediate question should be why was it even needed?

Joe giving the Democrats a shiner on the way out. Make political hay out of it and be done with it. The sooner the country is Biden free the better.

I would think the 25th amendment is better, meaning someone is pardoning criminals that is not of sound mind. How can one pardon someone for a crime, in which the government said the person doing the pardoning probably shouldn't be standing trial himself? 🤷‍♂️ All of this is ignoring the elephant in the room.

Obstructing Justice Through Pardons Is an Impeachable Offense
Members of Congress, the Supreme Court, and the Founding Fathers have said that abusing the pardon power can be grounds for impeachment.

"The Founding Fathers addressed the issue at hand more directly, as the possibility of the president abusing the pardon power weighed heavily on the minds of some. In an effort to assuage their concerns, James Madison noted that “if the President be connected, in any suspicious manner, with any person, and there be grounds to believe he will shelter him, the House of Representatives can impeach him; they can remove him if found guilty.”

Nobody is going through a whole trial before January 20th. There is already impeachment papers in on Joe for much of this and nobody did anything.

Amazingly after so many ridiculous and stupid posts from you in this forum, you finally make a point I completely agree with.

His impeachment occurred on Nov 5.

Well, there is now precedence. Thanks, Joe.

Are you going to bite your tongue when it happens?

I'm not opposed to such pardon based on a conflict of interest. And I don't deny he has the power to do it.

I think it's a poor reflection on the country that people, including especially Trump, are avoiding responsibility for it.

It’s like a man beating the sh*t out of his girlfriend while trying to convince her she’s lucky to be with him because the next guy may kill her. America is over it!

Kind of like Hunter being pardoned by his dad.

"I wouldn’t do anything that would be over in terms of Hunter. It’s a sad situation," Trump responded.

"I’ll bet you the father probably pardons him, let's see what happens, but he’s a bad boy, there is no question about it," Trump added.
