The Impeachment Thread

Okay....Now's the time for the Dems to focus their attention on their lousy candidates which suck to high heaven.
The next Dem POTUS will not be in this sour Trump hating bunch of millionaires & billionaires.
Dems have a long way to go before finding their next community organizer rising to the top.

It tells you all you need to know that all but zeppy avoid that thread at all costs

A censure victory at the hands of an impeachment loss.
Now that they have the impeachment on the books, they may take the quick and easy censure route on Trump's soon to be next screw up.....unless of course it's a big screw up, then back to impeachment.

It's kind of like this. You buy a Power Ball ticket, you do not win the jackpot. That's a loss.
But you to get four numbers and match the power ball and win $50,000. That's a win. (call it a moral victory)
Didn't get the big win (which I never really expected) but I did get some victory.

LOL

The dems brought a lottery ticket and walked away with nothing. Big L

It’s not a moral victory, it’s a political victory. It’s why Trump was so desperate to hold the party in line and wanted to flip Manchin or one of the other democrats. It’s why Trump Jr. wants him tossed from the party. It’s not as big as it would have been if they managed to get over 50 (obviously they wouldn’t get 67 even if they caught Trump strangling Yovanovitch with his own hands on the senate floor), but it helps the democrat’s with their narrative (which was realistically the best they could have hoped for given the Trump enablers in the senate).
I can live with the overlap of moral victory and political victory.
noun

  1. a defeat that can be interpreted as a victory on moral terms, for example because the defeated party defended their principles.

And what does that get you? Did anyone care about this trial?

Not a matter of what I want to believe. I want to believe one day the left will be normal well reasoned democrats again but I doubt it will ever happen

The further right the right goes, the further left the left will go to compensate. The further left the left goes, the further right the right will go to compensate.

As soon as we realize we're Americans instead of Republicans or Democrats or some other artificial label, the better.

You should petition Thomson Reuters to put that in a footnote of the history books. Pretty sure there won’t be room on the body of the page now that they have to add “most votes to impeachment and most votes to remove of any president in US History.”
🤣
Nah no need to since all that will be remembered is impeached/acquitted just like all the rest 🤣🤣🤣

Since the earth is round they will eventually meet back where they started.

Right. Per Sen. Lamar Alexander's own statement (which Mitch McConnell approved of).... Trump withheld military aid to the Ukraine for the purpose of encouraging their leadership to open an investigation into a political opponent... and we won't forget that.
Remind me how Alexander voted on further witnesses and acquittal ok both articles? 🤔

This is BS the left started this identity politics slippery slope with their lynching of Robert Bork. Until president Trump there was no Republican who would play the Dems games. And what they are finding out is he is better at it than they are.

I keep hearing some, especially here say Trump is a democrat so if we are moving further right why did we just elect a democrat?
Other than living here, I have nothing in common with radical socialists

Joe will when he loses another presidential bid. Lol
