Seems both sides want to believe morally ambiguous people saying what they want to hear, none of which equates to fact. I agree with Brokaw. The Dems don't have the goods on Trump, at least not yet. They have no solid facts to hang their hat on, just opinion, which will always be questioned. In no way do I think Trump is completely above board, but you can't convict on suspicion alone. He pushes boundaries, but no factual proof has been provided to show he's pushed into impeachable behavior.

The Dems are not drawing it out. The stonewalling for the last 3 years has. The past year has been court battles over evidence and testimony. I also don't think the flow of information from the WH will be more than a trickle, which will drag it out longer. The Hillary witch hunt went right up to the election. That didn't hurt the Republicans one bit.

Proof of an actual crime that reaches the threshold of impeachment. And by proof, I mean more than speculation and opinion. More than politically biased interpretation of his actions. He may very well be guilty, it wouldn't surprise me, but it has to be proven. And the Dems are a long way from actually proving it.

Even then, I think history could present a problem. Clinton was dead to rights guilty and yet avoided removal from office. So being guilty may not be enough to remove Trump from office. I think it highly probable that it will come down to what the people decide in 2020.

Real Clear Investigations is not a credible source of news per media bias fact check and there has never been anything to substantiate the conspiracy theory that Ukraine interfered in the 2016 election to begin with. That is a lot of surmising and conjecture, on top of an unproven conspiracy theory. And it has still not been confirmed who the whistleblower was, but even to that end, his credibility and motives are no longer relevant. Lt. Col. Vindman, Bill Taylor and Kurt Volker have already confirmed everything alleged in the complaint, and Volker has testified that there is no evidence that Joe Biden had done anything illegal in the Ukraine.

Ok, try and spin the Politico reporting on it.

I've never heard of that source, but the polls on Real Clear Politics show that his numbers have been going down since this story broke. But if this is true, then why are Republicans fighting impeachment so hard? They should welcome this... if they truly believe this helps him.
