The Impeachment Thread

Chappelle Show was the best skit comedy ever IMO. If HBO would stop throwing millions of dollars at the dude to make sh*tty stand up, maybe he'd reboot the show with Neal Brennan.

Yep. With a cameo appearance by Eddie for an episode or two, continuing where his brother Charlie left off with his "True Hollywood stories".

Where would Trump bribing a foreign country to influence our presidential election fall on a scale of 1 to 10, with 1 being merely impeachable conduct and 10 being outright treason.

Where would anti American socialists newest outrage fall on a scale of 1 to 10, with 1 being merely funny and 10 being just outright sad

So let me get this straight.

You promise a Ho (or Kamala Harris) $20 for a BJ. No transaction takes place. No money changes hand. Is that "promise" illegal if nothing happens.
Soliticitation is a crime. Plenty of other "pre" crime is too. Attempt, conspiracy, etc.

Where on the scale of 1 (impeachable) to 10 (treason) do the trump nut huggers acknowledge the problem as a minor annoyance, 15?

Was this a serious question?

What good American wouldn’t trade $350m to discover Biden family crimes? Fair trade is fair trade to out a crook. Seems like all patriots would want to know no matter the cost.

I recall the bellyaching and teeth gnashing when it was discovered that the mueller investigation cost taxpayers like a tenth of the amount being discussed here. Ironic, no?

Yes. I'm going to remain skeptical that this is as explosive as it appears to be (no story is ever as juicy as when it first breaks - that is just how covering politics is these days), but I will return to my caveat... "If" the whistleblower is saying that Trump promised a shift in U.S. policy and aid to Ukraine in exchange for their targeting of Biden's son? That would be a high crime and impossible for Republicans to brush aside. That is bribery.

Hold my beer.

The Dealmaker strikes again, finding a way to use taxpayer money rather than his own. BTW, how much did the Clinton campaign pay Fusion GPS?

What would the difference be if we had just given them the aid in the first place? Still bribery if you are wanting to define it that way.
We do it all the time, if you want aid you do (or dont) do X. Iran and NK come to mind. Cuba too. Even our relations with NATO are quid pro quo.

It's the basis for all the trade deals, and probably any treaty. Presidents have always wheeled and sealed, it's literally their job to work with foreign nations.

Heck it's the compromise that has died in Congress. I dont see how any form of non utilitarian government does any work without this.

And then you consider that this is money/aid Congress wants him to spend it seems ridiculous to not have clauses on this.

Gotta love Rudy. The most honest dishonest scumbag on Earth. Seems he pretty much confirmed my theory on Ukraine...

“The reality is the president of the United States has every right to say to another leader of a foreign country, ‘you got to straighten up before we give you a lot of money,’ ” Giuliani said. “It is perfectly appropriate for [Trump] to ask a foreign government to investigate this massive crime that was made by a former vice president.”

Rudy simultaneously serves as Trump's attorney and prosecutor of his impeachment. Who needs a trial, we got Rudy to admit Trump attempted to bribe a foreign country to benefit his campaign. Thanks, bro.

Honestly, the depths of stupidity of this administration is mind-boggling.

IF this story is true, it would most likely be Biden's son....not Biden. There is a huge difference.

IF it was Biden himself, he would of been VP at the time, so what were his shenanigans with his son?
