The Inside Scoop: Cabinet / Admin Members Opine on Donald Trump as President

Not trying to overstep his authority. Encouraging the economy to open up.

Is this a joke?

....No, really, is it?

At one point he was claiming total authority and really thought he had it until an adult in the room probably handed him a copy of the constitution. I was literally watching real time saying what in the actual F is he talking about. Trumpers were on here explaining he was trolling and libs were falling for it. It was like the twilight zone.

Trump claims 'total authority' over state decisions

Good grief.

No oil and no coal. When do you see that as a real possibility?

It'll be awhile. Natural gas powered power plants is the new norm. I don't see that changing in our lifetime. Electric cars will become standard in the next 50 years I think.

Hopefully, we'll be able to harness fusion power soonish. Don't see commercial production in our lifetimes, but man that would be sweet.

How is drilling for oil in the arctic going to hurt your grand children?
Who's going to lower/erase the deficit?
Good, so you support nuclear energy?
The rest is just insults and gibberish.

There's no need to drill for oil in the artic. We can frack the f*** out of what we already got for a long time. We *should* be moving away from fossil fuels, not towards them.
Deficit reduction - if history is any guide, Biden will bring it down over the next 4-8 years... not that I think he'd live through 2 terms.
Yeah, nuclear is ok, but not fusion > fission.
Yes, I was angry and talking smack. Sorry.

And he didn’t push the issue. He has an opponent that’s been in government for over 40 years and still doesn’t understand he wou have the power to institute a mask mandate or shut down the country.

Lol, its alway funny when a marxist complains about a president supposedly going against the constitution. You communists have spitting on the constitution since the early 1900s.

Don't give me that crap that suddenly you are a supporter of the constitution.

What exactly makes me a Marxist and Communist? I’m legitimately curious.

Lol of course he didn’t push the issue. We have this thing called the constitution he can’t get past. It’s obvious he legitimately thought he had total authority over the states. Not just a mask mandate mind you, but total authority.

So, let’s try this again, what exactly did he do right with managing this pandemic? He stopped travel early and he gets credit for it, but mentioning that doesn’t seem to be as balanced as you like. So - what are all these other things I’m missing that he did right?

He could have declared martial law. He didn't.
He send massive amounts of support to various states, support that as it turned out they didn't need.
He kept a positive outlook instead of the fear mongering many governors and the MSN carry on with even today.
He rallied industry (through order) to mass produce vents and other supplies.
Not blasting Cuomo is a petty complaint, what good would it have done? With the typical reaction of officials like him being if Trump says turn right they turn left it could of lead to even more NYers dying.
Frankly there isn't much a POTUS can legally do in situations like these and what he could do he did.

When not doing something and staying positive are on your list of things done right you are grasping for whatever you can to put makeup on this thing. 🤦‍♂️

Your list of what he did wrong is petty. And yes conveying a positive message during a crisis is important. Not using a crisis as an excuse to grab/consolidate executive power is a good thing. Who was the last POTUS that didn't use a national crisis to grab more power?

I'm talking about the 12 people in the OP, just as starters. Mattis being the first, describing him as a unable to lead and having the understanding of a 5th or 6th grader. Not a totally unreasonable position after watching a press conference or perusing his tweets.
Mattis is dirty. Military Industrial Complex

Of course staying positive is important. So is not wrecking my car on the way to the grocery store. But I don’t deserve a pat on the back for that, it’s just expected.

I don’t know what you mean by a POTUS grabbing more power. I assume you mean things like the patriot act, which, isn’t the POTUS, but Congress. Trump still used executive orders just like every other President.

What's best for my grandchildren is to NOT drill for oil in the arctic.

What's best for my grandchildren is to borrow $1 trillion dollars per year (2019 deficit) of THEIR money to pay for tax breaks.

What's best for my grandchildren is to NOT ignore global warming and promote coal companies.

Donald Trump has been a major step backwards. His supporters, in my experience, are generally under-educated, self-absorbed and/or racist.

He'll go down in history as one of the worst presidents ever.
You forget a NOT?

I can't help then, you have your mind made up.

How some tangible things Trump could have done to mitigate the pandemic damage?

I’ve already listed what he could/should have done different. Anything legitimate I post you find petty, your mind is made up, and I can’t help either.

And that’s it. Everybody taking here has made their choice. It’s only a little over 60 days away. Thus at this point we’re just telling the other guy why he’s wrong. Ok fine 🤷‍♂️

Why do you even think we want your “help” with our vote FFS? You claim to be voting third party however ive yet to hear you offer one point why people should vote FOR your third party candidate. Thus far based on your posting you are just AGAINST Trump. Since there are only two viable candidates I’m sure Joe n’ Ho appreciate your support! They will be needing it in the coming days.
