When you said you have the right to know. That is why I asked for clarification.

And your participation is purely consensual too. In fact you sign over a good bit of your civil liberties to participate. So if you didn’t “believe in it” at it’s basic level before being sometimes perverted by individuals then I’d say that’s pretty damn dumb honestly. Those cases are the exception not the rule however. Just as this case is.

And I know that some of this data indeed conflicts with the statements of the admin. And they look like morons for it. However that’s on them and no reason to throw the baby out with the bath water I’d say.

And this kind of info is exactly why the general public doesn’t have a right to know any of it. Depending on how closely held any piece of info was it’s pretty easy to put together a short list of people who knew it and when they knew it. Even if the info by itself isn’t very damning. And that’s how you get people killed.

Well without knowing the specific information how can you say whether it should still be classified or not? Also there are general declass rules anytime an item is classified.

Again not interested in throwing the baby out with the bath water.

Yep most of what I’ve seen over the years is pretty damn boring. However 50 or so pieces of data boring as stand alone can provide useful information when correlated with the other 49 pieces. Another point that gets hammered home yearly on your training.

I don’t disagree with that statement as you stated it. However what piqued my interest was this “right to know” craziness. I’m not naive enough to assume it’s never abused and I’d put the DC animals at the top of the abuse list. But the other extreme is lunacy and when cases like this pop up it’s crazy to use them as a platform to loosen personnel vetting. If anything in this case if this kid is really the leaker this is an abject failure of vetting clearly.

Anyone who had anything to do with the Kennedy assassination except those at the highest levels was dead and buried in an unmarked grave by 1964.

And nothing was ever written down.

Anyone who thinks any relevant information about that conspiracy from government files is kidding themselves. It will never be anything more than circumstantial.

What in the world would give you confidence in our leaders? Is it Kamala’s inspirational speeches? Trump’s impressive vocabulary of 2 syllable words? Biden’s ability to stay awake during an entire debate?

Agreed. It’s my belief that the majority of classified material is classified simply to cover for illegal and or embarrassing acts by government agencies and office holders.
