The Intel Leaks Thread

HTF does a Junior enlisted Air National Guardsman get his hands on such sensitive material? Material that can out assets placed so high?

This...

I asked the same thing today at work. The other veteran I work with couldn't come up with any valid reason.

The whole thing stinks of a setup of some sort.

You’re asking my why my mind on things has changed since I was 19 in 2008? I’d be more concerned if it hadn’t.
I’m gonna guess when you were 19 in 2008 you weren’t in possession of the nuclear football then even if you had a TS. Hey you get a chance to tap out every 5 years before and 6 years now if you’ve become enlightened and no longer want to participate

Lol right. 1c3’s have nothing to do with nuclear. Your dick measuring contest is pathetic.

Or like I says above the other people who actually had possession of the material were idiots and didn’t secure it when the IT weenie came around. First thing I thought of when I heard he was IT

Hey this is your contest dude not mine. You were the one that came out blazing with the right to know stuff which is why I asked for clarification. Do that stuff with an active clearance and you’ll quickly be having a one on one with your program security officer.

He’s a govt said so guy.
I asked you if you had a better idea. Now for the third time baby and bath water and what not.

The admin got caught contradicting themselves with this release. They look like idiots and that’s on them. That isn’t a valid reason to blow up the whole system and give everyone the right to know everything

I would want to know exactly what it was they endangered people. It’s too easy of an excuse. They’re just taking the textbook definition of the classification level and saying by definition it causes harm would be my guess. I would want specifics. Depending on specifics I may agree with you.
Here are a couple of articles that do a fair job listing things. I HATE citing Al Jazeera; however, they seem to go a little deeper than the New York outfit. I saw on a news show that the info dealing with China meant that our asset had to be very deeply placed in the government/military. The articles speak for themselves about the level to which we had infiltrated the Russian Military. There is also a lot of other things that would not put lives in danger as the other info would. Please keep in mind, they have no idea if this is all that was put out by Teixeira. I hope this helps.

Leaked Pentagon documents: What are the major takeaways?.

Lol right. I’m the one who keeps you about your credentials here. It’s cute, really

Teixeira was a “cyber transport systems specialist,” essentially an IT specialist responsible for military communications networks, including their cabling and hubs. In that role Teixeira would have had a higher level of security clearance because he would have also been tasked with responsibility for ensuring protection for the networks, a defense official told the Associated Press, speaking on the condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive matters.

The Post adds that that Teixeira had access to the Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communications System, an internal Defense Department hub for top secret information, according a U.S. official.

I heard one report stating that many of the documents had clearly been folded and bent. Makes me wonder if he was charged with destroying classified material and smuggled stuff out. I have zero clue how this works so I could be making something up that's impossible

I asked earlier, but I'm still waiting for somebody to explain what U.S. Intel gained or expected to gain from this grand conspiracy.

Or in his tech role he figured out a way to intercept communications to or from higher grades of clearance.

Go back and read. Thus far you’re the only one to go with the “I had a TS” flex. 🤷‍♂️

I’ve clearly alluded to having some kind of clearance at some point but didn’t flex on it. Nor did I state I had a broad right to know any of this which was my entry point into this if you think back. But that did get my interest and started this exchange.

The biggest take away I’ve seen is that the Intel basically contradicts the public statements of the admin as well as made public information of other sovereign states who didn’t want the info public. Basically we look like morons. Again.

Yes.

1. I held a top secret clearance. The majority of “classified” information is the most boring stuff on the planet and over classified.

2. A “democracy” (left wing term for our government, and not accurate but the principle still applies to a republic) “dies in darkness” (NYT?). Meaning without access to info voters cannot make informed decisions

OK. You believe in full disclosure... lead by example:

What's your actual full name, age, address and occupation?

Other than putting me in charge of classifications no I don’t know what to do but the system needs to be overhauled.

Not a flex at all. Just means I’ve seen a decent amount of classified material working in a command post. Most of it could’ve been declassified without harm.

Your entire goal here has been to follow me to the bathroom with a ruler. Pretending I never had a clearance because I couldn’t remember something from 11 years ago, claiming my job must not have contact with nuclear info (hilarious given the nature of the command post), etc.

You’ve basically been trying to tap my foot under the bathroom stall
