I'm in logistics and I know the cost of labor has seriously altered some of our quotes in certain areas of the country (increases of $2-3/hr). Our industry is not a high margin one either. Tight labor market with rising wages also makes everything more expensiveHas anyone seen anything about rising health care costs in these areas where the $15 minimum wage has been instituted?
Anything on higher shipping/transportation costs?
In short, a self described progressive is lamenting the fact that minimum wag has increased in Seattle over 70% since 2015. And now the restaurant he has worked for the last six years is closing up. As is his previous employer. As is the place he had a interview scheduled for this week.Behind a pay wall
We’ve just lived through the greatest period of restaurant growth in U.S. history. Here’s why it’s ending. In short, a self described progressive is lamenting the fact that minimum wag has increased in Seattle over 70% since 2015. I would think the job market is probably driving up wages even more than the minimum. I know people here in the east were saying they are paying more than 15. But at least that is supply and demand. In short, a self described progressive is lamenting the fact that minimum wag has increased in Seattle over 70% since 2015. That $15 an hour minimum wage is going to be awesome!

Its stupid. Exactly like the article states. Companies aren't going to hire as quickly or either cut hours/benefits maybe both to recover costs. Its also going to drive the proce of products up as production costs rise. That $15 an hour minimum wage is going to be awesome!

If you want to have some fun, the next time your order rings up at $7.47 say you have two pennies when you go to pay for it after they have already entered the amount tendered. Common core can't handle it and the computer has already told them how many pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters to give you back. We have failed our children in schooling. You can get your order in a lot quicker talking to someone at the counter than using those kiosks.
