The Liberal Argument for a Higher Minimum Wage

Thay is so laughable. Rooms full of tax attorneys that will work around any idiotic law they pass to control compensation. Again it will be the middle people that will get crushed.

"Get the rich" emotionally awesome, intellectually stupid.
I agree. In it's current form absolutely. That's why I think they will try something like that eventually. Business is free react to new govt laws. They have tax experts that help them neuter any attempt the govt makes to take their money.

I'm not saying it's inevitable, but the more extreme the Democrats become you get more extreme weirdos in govt.

I'm generally against Federal mandates on private business...and I also don't think without a minimum wage it would be Grapes of Wrath...but if it gets people off welfare I'm okay with raising it...would like to see mandatory school or job searches for anyone on the public dime that aren't disabled

If you want to have some fun, the next time your order rings up at $7.47 say you have two pennies when you go to pay for it after they have already entered the amount tendered. Common core can't handle it and the computer has already told them how many pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters to give you back. We have failed our children in schooling.
I do stuff like that sometimes. Its funny how much it confuses people

And they have $900 cell phones and all their kids do as well and their bill is over $300 a month. I coached this kid in football and they had all kinds of government handouts yet she goes out and parties about 4 times a week, she puts up pics of herself and her friends with drinks everywhere.

I see you haven’t heard yet that cell phones, iPads, large screen TVs, and video games are all basic human rights. I’m told it’s some where in the Constitution or Bill of Rights right after free health care, free housing, and a basic income.

Yeah, you don’t have worry about the cost of a phone when you’re looting an at&t store.

The prices of goods will go up proportionately.

Why just $15? Let’s just go whole hog and make it $5000 per hour! Then no one would ever be poor again </sarcasm this is the logical endpoint of the liberal mind that doesn’t understand economic reality>

When you spread the wealth around, it's good for everybody

LMFAO again. In-N-Out here in TX I think pays around $13 an hour for entry sales staff. Do a quick web search in SoCal it says Mgrs start at $17.50 an hour. They’re actually a great company as far as fast food goes. Just like the hate chicken is 😈

But yeah your pic totally validated the government basis to raise the minimum wage 😂🤡

There’s gonna be so many overlooked consequences. There are some actual skilled jobs that pay around $15 and hour. If wages don’t increase proportionally, and we know they won’t, who’s to say people won’t leave those jobs to go do something way easier? Aside from that, how many jobs will it automatically eliminate? We all know that prices will increase overnight to make up for the lost revenue. Instead of solving one problem you create 10 new ones. Lastly, nobody is going to be living the good life on $15 and will probably just keep mooching off the gov.

That's great.

You used a franchise that generates about 5 million a year in revenue per location or the location is closed.

Now see how the small locally owned burger joint down the street that generates 400k a year goes out of business cause it can't compete.

Do you understand margins at all?
