I remember a time when Republican's pretended to care about the Constitution. Now they support a twice impeached, 3 (soon to be 4) times criminally indicted, reality TV star realtor who tried to overthrow an election. You guys have, in four short years - destroyed the narrative that you care about Christian values, the Constitution, being fiscally responsible or Law and Order.

And you've done it for a guy that doesn't G.A.S. about you. Yam tits has never known middle class struggle and yet you believe him when he says he's going to do something to make America great again. He had four years to do that and sh*t his Cheeto dust covered bed. Don't ever lecture anyone over 'principles', you've forfeited any high ground you may have once pretended to hold.

Can we just agree that all of that started before Trump? The previous “Christian” executed mentally deficient people to look tough on crime and invaded Iraq so Daddy would like him more than Jeb.

He did and does things that are so culturally opposite of what politicians are supposed to do that it brings out the crazy reactions. Drumpf and some people new to politics, don't understand loyal opposition. The job of the opposite party is to oppose the party in power. He took it personal, and made it personal nstead of understanding its politics.

Dems have been somewhat destructive, by playing on Drumpf's level. Definitively not as destructive. I know, I will be accused of being a partisan hack. Drumf's handling of the 2024 election is single handedly the worst thing for democracy since the civil war. Dems should have picked better fights and then finished the fight. There was and are plenty of easy wins.

The most positive things that I can say about drumpf is that he has brought out the worst in politics. In fairness to him, it was somewhat there but he forced it on the front page news. For the lack of a better term, politics was more of a gentleman's game prior to 2016. Not that politics were good before him but he brought in a jerry springer aspect.

Now the biggest loser is a conservative republican. Those in office keep trying to ride his coat tails in office. Probably not going to work anymore. The republican party needs to grow up, stop waiting on the legal system and take care of their drumpf problem.

Also, I don't think trials or jail will stop drumpf. He needs to lose again, to make it clear that his antics are no longer needed.

The evangelical embrace of Republicans who clearly do not embody Christian values, definitely did not begin with Donald Trump or even with George W. Bush. Trump just exacerbates it, because of how coarse his mannerisms are, and how overtly vindictive he is.

What it really boils down to is that there are just a lot of people who will always vote for a candidate based solely on the “D” or “R” beside his/her name regardless of policy proposals, morality, etc. Has absolutely nothing to do with the whole “lesser of two evils” or “voting against the other guy” narratives.
