The (many) indictments of Donald Trump

Thats fine. Like I said read it however you want. Even you have your obvious biases. Even @Weezer the sage of "I hate both sides" has his tells.
Old @Weezer doesn't hate both sides. He just wants you to believe it's just as fine to back Trump as it is Mother Theresa, because they both lied at some point in their past.

I absolutely have my biases. It’s my beliefs that frame those biases. Unlike most on here, my beliefs do not change depending on who is speaking. I too very much dislike the tribalism of all issues. Check the vaccine threads for more examples of my “calling BS”. I suspect you’ll like those as the truth there tends to line up with your tribe

Karen, how is that any different to your obvious blind eye for democrats.
(Obviously not Biden in your case. That’s a giant troll job)

For the third or fourth time, imply whatever you want from my comment. Seems to me like you're just looking for an excuse to use the word tribe as much as possible this morning.

I still remember the "I'm not taking the Trump vaccine" posts. Most of those posters turned out to be the biggest proponents of the vax.

No, it's true I hate both sides. I just hate one side more than the other. Democrats have proven far more adept at the devious arts of politics than the Republicans. From controlling the bulk of the media to weaponizing government, I see the Democrats as more dangerous to our republic. Modern day Republicans, no offense to any who consider themselves such, are just dim. They've allowed the left to outmaneuver them in every way. There is no balance.

My disdain for both political parties is very real. I'm in no way opposed to Trump facing consequences. I just don't see why your heroes on the left should be immune from consequences.

And I think somewhere deep inside you kind of agree, that's why you keep mentioning me so much. Or you could just really have a crush on me.

I disdain politics for what they've become. It's not what they were meant to be in this country.

New Mexico and Pennsylvania are the two states which did make contingencies, and have probably covered themselves legally. The five other states with "alternate electors" did not.
Thanks I hadn't seen those....those that signed in those 5 states are stupid and in trouble....all they had to do was add a contingency and no issues...I'm curious if they can link it back to Trump with anything other the hearsay.

Nice spin attempt. But clearly you know it has truth to it or you would not feel the need to reiterate.
You claim you are just a guy calling BS where you see it.
Me too. Welcome to the party

1) Brad Raffensperger is on record saying that he felt pressured by Trump to change the outcome in Georgia. His opinion matters more than either one of ours ... and he is a Republican.

2) He has publicly defended the scheme as recently as May. Trump still insists that Pence could have refused to count electoral votes from states they lost.

3) But Trump thought he did. Some degree of credit should go to Pence for not caving in to Trump's public pressure on a day when the Capitol was being overrun by an angry mob of Trump supporters ... some of whom were threatening Pence with violence.
1)Why would being a Republican make a difference? He didn't say to "find" votes that weren't there and YES that makes a difference. Why would he feel pressured? What can a man who just lost the election do to him?

2,3) Being ignorant or just plain stupid isn't illegal. If you want to give someone credit for not doing what he couldn't do anyway , have at it.

His intent as it contributes to the RICO charges. Find, Hunt, uncover, discover or give me. Intent is enough.
Ignorance of the law is no excuse when charged or convicted. Again it is a RICO case.

I 100% agree with your last statement!!!

We simply have some disagreements on how and why we got to this point.
It seems like every time we take a step forward, we take at least one step back.

Trump and Trumpism has taken us 20 steps back. A lot of us knew that would be the case in 2016.
Shockingly, he is still being allowed to move us in the wrong direction

Our disagreement is insurmountable. I believe that our federal government is the root cause of our discourse and division (parties be damned) and you believe that our federal government is the solution to our discourse and division. That's a mountain that can't be climbed.

1) You are being purposely obtuse. Trump knows better than to be precise with his intentions on a recorded line. Raffensperger told him multiple times that there was no merit to his allegations of fraud in the state of Georgia, but Trump persisted anyway. Trump wouldn't take "No," for an answer. He also made a veiled threat concerning trouble that Raffensperger could be in, if he didn't comply. That amounts to applying pressure.

2) Once again, Trump was insisting that Pence had the power to not count those votes ... and there were many January 6 rioters who believed Trump was right.

Good point...those Articles of Confederation sure worked well!!

See this is your problem….self reflection of your own party. We had Trump because of entitlement politics of Hillary being the next one up. So instead of addressing that problem, you default to Trump. After having Biden, Trump years not looking so bad.
