Ron DeSantis Vows to Fire Special Counsel Jack Smith on 'day one' of his presidency for 'weaponizing the legal system' by prosecuting Donald Trump over 2020 election interference and hoarding classified documents

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis said if elected president he would fire special counsel Jack Smith on 'day one' of his administration.

Smith has charged former President Donald Trump on crimes related to his attempt to overturn the 2020 election and for hoarding classified documents he moved from the White House to Mar-a-Lago.

Despite being one of Trump's Republican primary rivals, DeSantis echoed Trump's complaints in a Fox News interview Thursday that Smith's criminal probes were political in nature.

The D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals hinted Tuesday it may consider questions about special counsel Jack Smith’s appointment, along with other issues like the timing of Trump’s presidential immunity appeal.

The court asked parties in an order Tuesday to be prepared for questions about “discrete issues” raised in friend-of-the-court briefs when it considers Trump’s bid to dismiss his 2020 election case based on presidential immunity during oral arguments Jan. 9. Briefs filed include one challenging Smith’s appointment as unconstitutional and another arguing Trump cannot raise the immunity challenge until after a conviction and trial.

Fani Willis Accused of hiring a man she was in a Romantic Relationship With to Prosecute Donald Trump and play a prominent role in the election interference case, bombshell court documents claim

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis has been accused of hiring a private lawyer she was in a 'romantic' relationship with to prosecute Donald Trump, according to a stunning filing by one of the former president's co-defendants.

The bombshell allegations are included in a filing by Michael Roman, a former Trump campaign official who is accused of taking part in the 'fake electors' scheme as one of 18 people charged in the state along with Trump.

The public court filing, which seeks the dismissal of charges against him, alleges that Willis was in a personal relationship with private lawyer Nathan Wade, who was paid more than $600,000 as a special prosecutor assisting her office's sprawling probe of Trump's election overturn effort.

The filing doesn't provide documentary proof of the allegations. It states that 'sources close to both the special prosecutor and the district attorney have confirmed they had an ongoing, personal relationship.'

The filing makes reference to a sealed divorce filing for the married special prosecutor, but then goes on to make the claim based on other information.

It states that 'information obtained outside of court filings indicates that the district attorney and special prosecutor have traveled personally together to such places as Napa Valley, Florida and the Caribbean and the special prosecutor has purchased tickets for both of them to travel on both the Norwegian and Royal Carbibean cruise lines. Traveling together to such places as Washington, D.C. or New York City might make sense for work purposes in light of other pending litigation, but what work purpose could only be served by travel to this traditional vacation destinations?'

why is this important??

If the allegations are true, Gillers said, “Willis was conflicted in the investigation and prosecution of this case” and wasn’t able to bring the sort of “independent professional judgment” her position requires.

Judge Overseeing D.C. Trial of Donald Trump Reportedly a Victim of 'Swatting'

1704768135677.png

Tanya Chutkan, the D.C. Circuit judge overseeing former President Donald Trump's federal election interference case, was reportedly the victim of an attempted "swatting" on Sunday night. "Swatting" involves a call to 9-1-1 reporting a fake emergency at the victim's address and prompting law enforcement to respond, usually with a SWAT team.

On Sunday night, police and fire trucks arrived at Chutkan's home after police received reports of a shooting at the residence.

She perjured herself? Or is this just one of the trump nut huggers getting out over her twitter ski's, looking for clicks?
