The (many) indictments of Donald Trump

woof. that seems like a steep thing to prove that will turn into a "he said/she said" argument real fast. I doubt there is going to be anything coming close to a "reason" in any of the actual legal language used.

John Edwards admitted to using donor money to pay off his mistress and he was acquitted.

I replied to McDad by saying Pence is ridiculed and he apparently walks the walk. It was you or BB that brought up Carter.
I guess we are to conclude the 1 exception to the norm from almost 50 years ago disproves the norm?

This is the exact political figure I thought of after reading rocky's post, too.

I really don’t think the Democrats realize just how badly this whole thing will absolutely break America. Or maybe they just don’t care.
This is a Rubicon event. There is no going back. There will never be any cooperation between the two political parties again.
The hatred of Donald Trump is driving the left into an absolutely destructive path.
I would advise them To take a deep breath , slow down, and consider where this will lead when the shoe is on the other foot.
But I am afraid they are too blinded by pure unadulterated malice:
The current democrat party came to do 2 things: Chew bubble gum and destroy this country.

They determined that bubble gum had racist roots that led to the toxic masculinity driving the current patriarchal system suppressing the indigenous asexual community. So they canceled bubble gum!!!

Only one thing left to do.

Just pointing out that it wasn't an R thing.......
Pence is still mocked and by all appearances he does abide by his "family values" rhetoric.
Excellent point. Family values are mocked whether the R conforms or contradicts their rhetoric.
Yes they are.

Correct, which is how we've gotten to where we are today. It's lazy politics. The only positive energy is wasted on stupid ideas like changing people's gender, cow farts, and making sure women can kill as many babies as possible. Rather than producing a candidate that might bring the country together and focus on issues that are actually vital to the nation, both parties seem intent on attacking and destroying the other, at any cost, with the all important grand prize of POWER.
Are you a democrat? You just listed the democratic platform.

Give me a break.
This path was set when the repubs nominated Trump in 2016. They were repeatedly warned that Trump crossed the line. They knew it, and did it anyway, or maybe even specifically for that reason.

You think they prosecute every campaign violation?
If they don’t; but go only after Trump, then what does that do to your admonition that „no one is above the law“?
Wouldn’t that lend credence to this being selective prosecution based on political considerations only?

I have a few broken records for my LP player. Boy if they aren’t just like listening to you

I'm surprised you cannot see on the continuum of mockery related to family values Rs are over represented 20:1.
Oh, I see it. But it's because the right made "family values" one of their many catch phrases with underlying meaning. The right constantly ridicules the values of the left, they just don't use the term "family values".

Hog just said they dropped the charges. Please keep up.

How many days did Al Gore serve for this campaign finance violation?
April 1996 Gore attends an event at the Hsi Lai Buddhist Temple in Los Angeles that nets the Democratic National Committee close to $65,000 from donors. In September 1997, a trio of Buddhist nuns from the temple admit in Senate testimony that the temple illegally reimbursed guests for their donations. Gore later denies knowing the gathering at the temple was a fundraiser, describing the event as "community outreach."

It's sad that anyone knows her name at all ... but let's make it clear how she became a household name .... Trump's attorney wrote her a $130,000 check less than a month before the presidential election. To a stripper/porn star? For God's sake that isn't normal.
Did he good office when the payoff happened??? Was it paid out of campaign finance or private money?

I can see that. Long term thinking, doing what was right......didn't go over well with many. Plus we can't really ignore the great white flight.....and not just from neighborhoods impacted by desegregation.

Knowing my dad, I doubt he is at all taken by the more recent attempts to rewrite the history on Carter and the malaise he lived through. I’ll ask him next time we speak.

Coco Chow
Pocahontas
Crooked Hillary
Pencil Neck
Lyin' Ted..........................the list goes on and on.

So, yes, I am thrilled. Tiny earnned it. While I am thrilled, you are clearly triggered. Toughen up.
Lol. You excited because a blown out nobody porn star nicknamed another man tiny. And I'm the triggered one...

You're saying 97% of the republican protests will not involve any type of burning and 99.5 % of the republican protestors will be 100% peaceful?

If so, then it will indeed be mostly peaceful.
Just curious, to what degree is it "worth" arresting Trump if things end up not mostly peaceful? You can apply whichever end result you want, he is found guilty, or he is found innocent.

Is 130k of campaign financing worth the fallout? The political division in this country, and the pending violence? Someone mentioned 16 people and 2 billion in the peaceful protests. Is that worth 130k?

If you care about this country you find some quiet way to make this go away without sending Trump to jail or even prison. Confine him to house arrest for forever, make him pay a huge fine, and slap him with a felony so he cant run(that's the whole goal of this anyway). But dont send him to jail.

There are 100 ways this ends, 99 of them make things worse, and I have a feeling we are looking at one of the worst worse options of that 100

Please do. I also lived those times, East Nashville ......saw it all up close and personal.
