I’ll see your ridiculous analogy, and raise you.You can willfully turn right at a light and cause an accident ... due to your negligence. Doesn't mean you had criminal intent.
That he immediately returned them when it was pointed out supports an inference he lacked criminal intent.
Trump's reaction STRONGLY supports an inference he had such intent.

You willingly shot and killed your wife.
I also willingly shot and killed my wife.
When the cops came - you gave them the gun, let them test your hands, and showed them the body.
I threw my gun in the river, and buried the body.
You gonna compare our actions after the fact, claim negligence, and expect a pass from the DA?
Isnt the main dispute regarding whether he was allowed to have them as a former POTUS?? AND how declassification for a PoTUs works...Agreed.
Now apply that to Trump who not only willfully kept top secret documents but refused to give them back and conspired to conceal them when asked to give them back.
Why did Trump send out a letter the day after the raid claiming the documents were planted? Then, when he knew that BS wouldn't fly, why did he start claiming he had declassified the documents? Just by thinking about it? Why did he lie about turning them over on multiple occasions? Why did he lie to his attorneys about it? Why has Trump burnt through so many attorneys? Trying to align other documents cases with his is absurdIsnt the main dispute regarding whether he was allowed to have them as a former POTUS?? AND how declassification for a PoTUs works...
Idk I cant answer those...hopefully the court will decide if it's not dismissed before then...Why did Trump send out a letter the day after the raid claiming the documents were planted? But did you shoot your wife with the intention of killing her? Will be LGs question.
Oh and what political party do you vote for....
30 year old classified documents. He "accidentally" took home.As was obvious a year ago, the key difference here is that when Biden learned that he had classified documents at his residence, he immediately returned them and ordered his staff to cooperate fully.
That, versus Trump, who defied numerous law full requests for the documents he had, intentionally showed them to un vetted persons, and ordered members of his team to obstruct what he had done.
That's the character difference that matters.
To some of us.
Translated:Having listened to more and more commentary on this, I have changed my mind in several key respects:
1) I do suspect that the special prosecutor went out of his way to paint Biden as suffering from cognitive decline. On the other hand, that's the thing that keeps Biden from being prosecuted. So, Biden cannot have it both ways. If he is not in significant cognitive decline he ought to be prosecuted; if he is in significant cognitive decline, someone in authority needs to step in and tell him he has to give this up.
2) Based on my own subjective impressions (and that's all any of us really has to go on), I think Biden's cognitive decline is too acute and he should not run again. (I do think it is being somewhat exaggerated by the Republicans, but that does not really matter as I think he's at a point where he is disqualified from running again).

Think of it like this...... This story coming out to the world makes America look like a joke. It doesn't matter if it's exaggerated or not. It says the reason he is not being prosecuted is because he is a feeble old man. Guaranteed we are the laughing stock of the world at the moment!
Not a second thought on that ruling across the world. Only Here in America. We became a laughingstock in 2016. If Trump can somehow stay on the ticket and get elected, we will be even more of a laughingstock than we were in 2016Think of it like this...... You seriously believe this don't youI don't buy that. I think world leaders have a much lower opinion of the US if Trump is President than pretty much anyone else. The one exception being Putin, who clearly sees that as to his advantage.
If it came down to it I'd really struggle to vote for Biden. I might have to just to try to stop Trump. But I'm in Florida my vote is likely irrelevant and so I might not vote at all, in disgust at the Dems for failing to nominate someone better.
That's what I did with the gubernatorial race here between DeSantis and Charlie Crist. Could not vote for either, out of principle.
Now, if voted in Florida mattered, I'd vote for a dead skunk over Trump. Heck, I'd probably contribute to the skunk's campaign.
Dismissed is a full fledge reach. This case will run it's full cycle if Trump is not pardon. Cannon will be dismissed before this case is dismissed. You need to quit chasing cars or rainbows. I wish some of you Trumper's understood what Trump did or is accused of doing before you speak of outcomes before they happen. The problem is that some of you don't understand what that idiot did and are so stuck in the Tribal context that you don't understand what he did is a Crime. Evidently, he does because he is trying so hard to avoid court on this matter. The final problem is that we are stuck with 2 Lame duck Presidents running for election. 2nd issue is that Trump felt entitled to keep the documents and not turn them over.Idk I cant answer those...hopefully the court will decide if it's not dismissed before then...
nah..hopefully you are stuck with him..Everyone and his brother knew he was suffering from a mental decline, but your partisan eyeballs refused to admit it. Just like on several other topics, you are flat out wrong and hypocritical. People like you are the reason we are in the mess we are in today, so enjoy your rotten fruits.Having listened to more and more commentary on this, I have changed my mind in several key respects:
