The (many) indictments of Donald Trump

Did the racketeering cross state lines over a prolonged period of time?
All the way to DC, it the evidence is there, it is there and if it is not then it is not. Federal or State makes no difference it is in the jurisdiction of GA as well within the jurisdiction of the US Federal Govt. Prolonged period of Time? Does not prohibit or limit the Federal govt's reach on this. It occured within the jurisdiction of the Feds.

They just were not going to charge Trump at the Federal level because it appeared that the State had a handle on it of which we now know they had skeleton's in the GA closet are enough to change prosecutors.

Interesting time in this day and age of the Judicial system as it relates to future rulings and actions of both the Accused and the Accuser. It is all a game at this point.

You need to read the differences between GA RICO and federal RICO statutes. The Fed might be able to charge but in my laymans understanding it would be a stretch.

Supreme Court Gives Smith One Week To Respond To Trump On Immunity

The Supreme Court on Tuesday gave Special Counsel Jack Smith one week to respond to former President Trump’s request to keep his federal Jan. 6 trial on hold as he appeals his immunity claims.

In a brief order, the high court ordered Smith to respond by Tuesday, Feb. 20, not a particularly speedy schedule.

Trump on Monday filed an emergency motion urging the justices to block a lower ruling that he doesn’t have presidential immunity from the indictment, an issue that has enabled Trump to tie up his trial date as he proceeds through the appeals process.

I hear where you are

I hear where you are coming from in this aspect.

Many months ago, I clearly stated that the Democrats would throw everything at Donald Trump they could no matter or not if it would stick or not.

This case I thought would take the longest to pursue and would not be settled until after the election or Trump's 2nd term.

Willis can resign and pick her successor or let the Judge decide who will be the next prosecutor.

It could move to the Federal system. Time will tell as there is more than one case up for grabs.

A lot are grasping at straws, a lot of legal actions are going to take place before and after the election. At the moment it is a Political game.

As I have stated, I don't want either one of these yahoos in office, as IMO, neither one of them are qualified to hold the POTUS position. The only way one gets in over the other is tribal, hold your nose votes or no votes. Any choice you have those 3 choices of who will decide the winner and gets elected. There is simply no difference between the two candidates expect one common thread which is America will get no better.
