I don’t think anybody wringing their hands about this can claim to be semi-serious.
* He wasn’t there. It’s not like his itinerary is a big secret. He was in Dallas on 8/7 and was deposed in New York on 8/10 for one of his other cases, I think it was the half-billion dollar judgment case, but it might have been the one where he raped the woman.
* Just think about the fact that this Pearl clutching turns, in part, on the idea that law enforcement should serve a search warrant without being armed. Cops can be thugs (see Scotty Scheffler story) but that’s just insane.
* Any application of rational thought would tell you the use of force language is boilerplate, for the same reason: serving search warrants is dangerous work. (The FBI has since put out a statement that this is the case).
* The search was clearly a last or near-last resort (read the efforts they went to in the indictment to recover the documents).
* It was a search approved by a federal magistrate.
* The search discovered evidence of a crime.
* The evidence produced an indictment.
You guys want to continue to dig through Julie Karen’s ******** to try to find undigested kernels of sanity, knock yourselves out. I would have cut her off after she made a big deal out of Evan Corcoran emailing prosecutors to introduce himself as evidence that Trump had cooperated without mention that a federal judge had ordered Corcoran to testify before a grand jury because trump had used him to lie to federal law enforcement and thwart less invasive measures to recover the documents, but I accept that dignity and integrity are less important to some people than they are to me, a lawyer.

Every bit of this event was filmed. Nothing was going to happen except for the collection of evidence. Body Cameras, and recorders filmed every bit of this to ensure the public knew. Don't think the staff did not know they were coming, if they did, which they did. Some of the documents would never been moved to NJ. The recording of the raid had to happen to prevent violence, stupidity and to record every bit of the actions taken in a former President's residence.
How many doors were knocked in during this process? (0) ZERO. When told by some it Sounds like the Wild Wild West of which some would like for the public to believe. These officers are Professionals and know there boundaries they are not your local run of the mill local law enforcement.
The most violent part of this raid rests on the team going through the residence boxes, drawers and they even managed to miss the hidden room.
Trump's version was what you would expect, I was raped sorta speak. Some of Fox Staff watch too much TV.
Knock on door --- Tac Team, "we have a search warrant, Other side of door, opened it. "Can I see it" TAC TM "Yes" Person in house "OK". Drama and BS claimed to stir the masses. Some need to live in Reality.
Trump took documents, refused to return them, moved some to NJ, tried to destroy video evidence, had documents in possession, knew he had them and it is time to let the courts decide if he has Immunity, if he can declassify them by thinking about them, if the PRA applies or he committed a serious crime. Time to "giddy up" and figure it out and the best place to do it is to put it into the court system to decide. Too many smoke screens out there to kept the simple minded groups. confused.
