When schools are spending taxpayer money to promote that tripe, it is indeed the role of the legislature (who controls spending) to put an end to it. But I understand your sentimentMeh… DEI should be defeated in the court of public opinion - as a faulty premise.
Not via putting legislative pen to paper.
Eh, publicly funded schools are sticky. When schools are spending taxpayer money to promote that tripe, it is indeed the role of the legislature (who controls spending) to put an end to it. But I understand your sentiment
Heroic Judge Cannon rejects this most recent government attack on free speech ...
Hence the phrase "most recent". Trying to file on a Friday before Memorial Day weekend usually don't go well unless you are in DC or NY. The Friday order did ask to gag Trump and his speech in his defense. That's not what that says. What she is saying is that she is denying the motion without prejudice, i.e. they can ref-file it. Her denial is based on failure to meet with opposing counsel and confer, first, which is a requirement in federal court down here. This is what I do every week. The judge is saying that the prosecution did not adequately confer with Trump's lawyers before filing the motion. Once they do that, they can re-file the motion.

Arrogant enough to think his opinion means something to people. Should people be glad he took time off berating his staff to help the peasants?Robert DeNiro outside the courtroom is perfect example of TDS, Trump is definitely skull ****ing him every night in his sleep.
I don't know what is worse, right wing conspirators or left wing conspirators, he's definitely a far left conspirator.
Sounds like to me, Mr. Smith either didn’t know the procedures in which case he is incompetent or he knew the procedures and chose to ignore them in which case he is just an ass. That's not what that says. Cat and Mouse Game really simple. He was baiting Cannon by forcing a ruling and there is more to come. Of course, people will chime in from both sides, but it is part of the game.Sounds like to me, Mr. Smith either didn’t know the procedures in which case he is incompetent or he knew the procedures and chose to ignore them in which case he is just an ass.
The American Bar Association, which is not exactly a conservative organization, said she was qualified.Cannon is over her head: there is no dispute among experts about that. She wasn't qualified to be a federal judge in the first place....and certainly
not to handle a trial like this, as she as shown over the last year, when she either been purposely stalling or paralyzed by indecision and incompetence.
Did you read LG explanation as to why she made thel ruling she did..and he is more partisan and anti trump then you. Had nothing to do with partisanship like y'all are trying to do..but with procedureCat and Mouse Game really simple. He was baiting Cannon by forcing a ruling and there is more to come. How big of a stretch would it be for him to think he that if he could show Trump that he had is back that he would put him in one of the cush positions in Washington?Trump's attorney is arguing that Cohen, not Trump, made the decision to pay off Daniels.
That seems extremely weak to me. Cohen had to take out a home equity line to provide the $ to National Enquirer and had to get paid back by Trump. It is truly hard to imagine that Cohen would do that on the fly, without an assurance form Trump that he'd be paid back.
I don't pay to much attention to LG explanations. This is a political game of checkers and chess. Smith filing is just trying to trip up Cannon to get her removed, nothing more, nothing less, and nothing else. The document case is dead in the water and might as well move the process a long. Dropping depth charges to see what floats to the top so no explanation is needed.Did you read LG explanation as to why she made thel ruling she did..and he is more partisan and anti trump then you. So your agreeing his filing has no merit and is just for show..good for youI don't pay to much attention to LG explanations. This is a political game of checkers and chess.
