The (many) indictments of Donald Trump

The DOJ/FEC passed on pursuing trump therefore viewing it as not a campaign contribution. The state elected to pursue this charge against Trump without having to prove it other than from the words of a proven liar.

Bradley Smith could have helped the jury with what a campaign contribution is and is not.

He still had the chance to define that. Defense decided not to call him to do that.

The FEC passing on it doesn't mean there wasn't a crime. There are a lot of reasons (cost, political, witness quality, lack of benefit, immateriality) why they could have passed. See Joe Biden and his records for reasons they passed on prosecuting him...

Im with you that the State should have left this case alone.

The overturn won’t happen till after the election. The political damage will have already been done. The Democrats know this. That’s what this is all about

What damage?

So far these suits are nothing but a political benefit to Donny.

There aren't many who are going to change their minds based on a verdict.

Believe me or not, I know you dont so be it. If I prove it you will not believe it anyway. There is need to laying it out in black and white because with you it accomplishes nothing. Just will revert back to the Same ole assumptions on your part and insulting remarks from you. Try ignoring me if you dont like it or stick your head in the sand. You insult your own intelligence or show a lack thereof. So proving it does no good because you will continue. Don't care if you believe me or not. You are locked in on you beliefs so be it. So you have the option to ignore me so do it and move on. Try taking your own advice. Plenty ride the fence on this site you need to be mature enough to accept their choices and live with it. You need help. Prove it or dont respond desperate ultimatum. Who Made you the board Thread proctor.
So you can't prove it...therefore maki g you lose the credibility you so crave on a freaking message board...your being ask for proof because everyone who uses that argument never post anything instructions or proof like you have.. why would I ignore someone who occasionally bring good info...and yes plenty on here ride the fence..it a great way to voice displeasure with everything while offering nothing of help..pretty popular position with most under a certain age. Bottom line is this not a single person who has made an argument for the process of declassifying documents for a POTUS has ever provided proof of said process...

I am not saying passing means there wasn’t a crime. I am saying the FEC passing means it wasn’t a campaign contribution which is essentially the heart of the prosecutions case.

The only thing that has come out of his mouth was that his greatest revenge would be to make his presidency and the country successful.

Now if you listen to some on this board, Biden or De Niro he's going to be a dictator and never leave, end the country, end NYC, it'll be the root of all evil......
How's he going to do that? I dont see any of his policies making the country particularly successful. Like biden he'll kick the can down the road with the same old same old right wing policies that are half the problem right now (the other half being left policies).

If I thought trump 2 were something that we could easily repair in hindsight, I'd be less dramatic, but trump seems to leading us down a path from which theres no easy return. Just having two elderly, way passed their prime candidates in the election shows how much of a step back we've taken in terms of being globally competitive.

What right wing policies did Trump push?

What path would he take us down?

The biggest and most dangerous one; painting the left as an enemy to be defeated rather than a partner with whom to work.

Left started that with George W Bush but then again, you can also go ALL the way back to Thomas Jefferson vs. Alexander Hamilton. Frankly, this has been going on since the first President.

The question now is does the judge let him stay out on bond pending appeal or send him straight to the hoosegow?
