The (many) indictments of Donald Trump

But there is a gray area with a President and declassifying.... I think that is where the issue is at, what can a Pres declassify, how can he, who when where what

I agree he should have had them in boxes ready to surrender them.

Biden and Trump aren't the only ones, who else has these documents that do not need them nor have the clearances to even possess them, that whole **** show needs mopped up.

It's not a gray area. The docs weren't declassified and Trump knew it. He muddied the waters by suggesting he could do whatever he wanted, whenever he wanted. It's black and white and rational people aren't giving the POTUS super powers.

Trump was the Executive. The Executive holds all power relating to classification. All documents he left with, he is supposed to have.

Now, one could argue in the court of public opinion how irresponsible Trump may have been in taking certain documents and how irresponsible it would be to elect him again, but it isnt a crime for the Executive to take documents when he is President.
Hopefully Donny hires you as his attorney in the unlikely event Cannon allows this to go to trial.

You seem to know what legal scholars don't.

Trump has been above the law until his shenanigans landed him in front of a jury.

I get it though, nothing is ever his fault. He's a saint.

What you guys keep failing to grasp is that even though he was targeted (absolutely was) he still broke the law. The former doesn't absolve the latter.

Let that sink in.

Agree. He is the biggest sore loser of all time.

Just because people can tweet doesn't mean that they should....

This was never about if the fees were entered into the right account on the ledger...it was all about creating a false paper trail for activity that never actually happened....
No, it was all about drumming up felonies out of a crime that never happened.

He can declassify, if he follows the right procedure for the right documents……..that is the gray area.

Biden could could not declassify….. he was never POTUS.

He didn't declassify the docs he had. It's not a gray area, I think he even admitted to that.

It doesn't matter that he could, it only matters that he didn't. Irrespective of that, hes not in trouble for having them. He's in tto7ble for lying about having them and conspiring to conceal them.

I’ve googled the chit out of it and I can’t find any procedures a president must follow to declassify information. I know we have an expert (I think he was a double naught spy or something) on the subject lurking around here that claims the president must get approval from a committee or something but refuses to post anything backing it up.

I'm quite sure the government wouldn't have spent a year politely asking the gangster to return the documents if officials thought he was entitled to keep them. Trump thought he was above the law; he wasn't, and he rightly got charged--even if all the experts from the Earl School of Law have their own opinions, ha, ha. The guy has been a transparent, law-breaking mobster for 40 years and the rubes want to pretend everyone else is the problem.

Yet another example of a corrupt man who thought he could do anything. WRONG. I wonder what he was going to do with the documents? Brag about having them like the immature schoolboy he is? He's actually on tape doing just that with a female staffer. Give some of them to Putin War Criminal in exchange for Putin allowing the gangster to build a hotel in Moscow--or just drop down on his knees? The clown doesn't even read.

It's not Rocky against you. It's Rocky against SDV.

Either way the world has one less attorney so it's a win for society.
True story
Close to the worst day of my life. Neighbor from a few streets over with same street number broke in the back door of my house. High on something. He was convinced he was in his house and I was the intruder. He had a hunting knife and I had a 45. I begged him to put the knife down and wait on the police. I pleaded “don’t make me kill you!!! If you’re right the police will take me away “. I wasn’t letting him get within 15 feet of me. He kept gripping the knife like he’s was going to charge me. He got right to the edge of where I was going to shoot him. I warned him one last time and was about to drop the hammer when we could hear the police car coming. He finally said “fine” and turned around and walked out the door.

People that don’t know **** think gun guys are just waiting on a chance to shoot someone. They’re wrong. Thinking you’re about to kill somebody is the worst thing you can feel.

But I digress.
