Winning any tournament is hard to do. I don't see how u can focus on just winning majors & not the others & expect to win any. U never know how ur gonna play from week to week or how eveybody else is gonna play. Golf is a game of alot of weird bounces, good & bad, that u can't account for.

Sure, the tour could use Tiger but make no mistake about it, Tiger needs the PGA tour way more than the PGA tour needs Tiger.

Tiger doesn't play many events outside the majors and WGC events. He could leave the tour tomorrow and still play in enough tournaments to keep his profile high.

I'd say the Tour wouldn't drop off too much from the "mainstream" if Tiger left. He did garner the game of golf national attention though

It would be just like it is now . . . OK ratings in regular tournaments, and big ratings in tournaments Tiger enters. Not sure what Tiger would really gain from leaving other than not being forced to play in as many events.
