Johnny's 63 on the final day at Oakmont bought him a lot of credibility. That being said, Nick Faldo has quickly become his equal in the booth and will likely surpass him in a couple of years. I like Miller, but his "brutal honesty" many times goes over the top. At least he understands choking. He had one of the best choke strokes of all time. For many years, he couldn't hit the lip of a 2-3 footer
for somebody like us it is.
for somebody the caliber of Phil, he should have more than he does, given the position he's been in at the end of golf tournaments.

Interestingly enough, Phil has won at least a couple of his while trailing going into the final day. Tiger has never (I believe) come from behind to win -- at least at the Masters.
On the other hand, I believe Tiger has never lost a major while entering the final round with the lead.
Bottomline, Tiger is probably the best ever; Phil is one of the greats (in a list of 10-20). That impresses me.
Off-topic: looking forward to your Barber pics. I didn't take any since I've gone so many times.
Lost last year' PGA with the lead. Has never won from behind in a major. Not sure why that matters in the least.
Just putting it in context of those they say Mickelson is a choker. Winning is winning. PM has won more than he has "choked" away. So I agree that it doesn't matter.
I have nothing but sympathy and support for the Mickelson's. They have been through a lot. But there are rumors about Phil and infedility and gambling.

winning the Masters certainly isn't being the best golfer within a 50 mile radius of your home.

TrueA bogey free scorecard in the final round of the Masters and for a 3rd green jacket, I would think that would impress anybody that plays or follows the sport of golf. I would agree that Phil should probably have another major or 2 under his belt, certainly the US Open he gave away on the last hole, but that certainly doesn't mean what he's accomplished isn't impressive. About 97% of golfers that have ever played on tour wished they were that impressive, the other 3% either are or were.
You make the dumbest comment of the day and then try to deflect it back to me. Get over it. You have no business talking about golf. How many times are you going to use that comment totally out of context?
Do you even play the game? If not, then STFU or put your money where your mouth is
out context...that's funny.
the irony in this post is amazing considering you refuse to point us toward any information regarding you illustrious golf career.

Yeah, it is funny.
I am not talking about myself. I see you are, again, trying to deflect away from your ignorant, know-nothing statement.
How many times do I have to tell you I have nothing to prove to you. Stop taking the comment out of context.

i never claimed to be anything more than somebody who enjoys to play, watch, and discuss golf.
you attempted to discredit the opinion of others by claimng yours is better b/c you beat all the other hacks at your country club and played golf at some low level school.
this is the internet. anybody can claim to be anything without having to prove it. thus, the reason you get and will continue to be mocked until you take your own advice and put your money where your mouth is. as far as i can tell, you're just a punk ass who likes to lie on the internet.
it's fun to laugh at you though ,so please stick around.

D1 is low level?
YOu can laugh at me all you want. You can call me a liar all you want. I have never claimed anything that isn't 100% true. You've taken the thing so far out of context, you can't keep up with your lies. Look, when some 20 handicapper comes on here saying that I don't what I am talking about when discussing the golf swing, he is going to get hammered pretty good. IE95 claimed my tip of keeping your eye on the ball through impact wasn't that important. That is where this all started.
You made a really ignorant statement saying Phil is a one trick pony and then you say you're laughing at me. That is truly priceless. Not particularly surprising coming from you, but still priceless. Now, like a real punk, you deflect away from that to take the attention off of your stupidity. You might even find some of the other rednecks ready t jump on your bus. Like I said, I don't care what you think. Twisting things around in an effort to make some silly point is a punk's style. If you are embarrassed by your ignorance, then just STFU. What in the world makes you think I need your affirmation for anything.
Again, you think Phil is a one trick pony?

So should he be labeled great for being in the hunt at the end of so many majors or a choker for not getting it done? Jack Nicklaus is the all time leader in major wins and I'm pretty sure he's also the all time leader in second place finishes as well. Winning majors is just hard to do.for somebody like us it is.
