The Masters 2010

Yep, poor, poor Tiger, had to field some questions that he and the whole civilized world knew or should have known was coming, bless his heart, if he didn't want the questions he shouldn't have shown up. TV reporters ask stupid and annoying questions to all athletes in all sports, it's unfortunate but it's also a given that it's going take place. I have no sympathy for him, he'll just have to deal with it like everyone else.

Everyone else???? Ignorance at its finest. No one in the history of sports has been crucified so hard as Tiger has for cheating on his wife. He has been treated like a common criminal and didn't break the first law.

At the time, Tiger was doing all he needed to do to embarrass himself

I don't know how good a player you are but I've seen you talk about your scores. So I will take it you know a little about the game. This statement sounds like someone who is severely uninformed. How was he embarrassing himself??? Making some bogeys?

Haha! Dude, I was saying choi wasn't embarrassing him, he was just simply playing bad. I would have to say that if I was popping up my driver and taking craters out of tee boxes with my 3 wood at the local muni tournament, I would be pretty embarrassed. Wouldn't you?

Do any of yall have a link to that series of commercials they played this weekend with the old man looking at photos. They all ended with that dramatic, "at The Masters". screen shot. I've been looking on the net but have not had any luck.

I've searched under ESPN commercials, and CBS.

Tiger popping up his drive = 280 yds

No, I wouldn't be embarrassed if I had already won said muni 14 times before.

Don't make excuses for him, he was getting outplayed by KJ yesterday, regardless of how many majors he has won.

Again, you don't know what you are talking about. No one said anything about Tiger's majors. They both shot 69. KJ outplayed Tiger early and Tiger outplayed KJ late. I will give you some advice about the game.....don't make absolute claims until a round is over

Who is a one trick pony, Phil or the Italian?[/QUOT

He is talking about Phil. Phil also has a PGA and has won every other important tournament know to man including a US Amatuer.

More often than not(especially in golf), you will hear guys like Doozer making totally ignorant claims about something for which they know nothing about. While I don't care much for Phil, he is much more than a one trick pony

It's a poor man's Johnny Miller minus the success and ability to be correct now and again.

I love how Johnny sets people up for failure. It's always this is an easy putt or chip so he can say they chocked itlf a bad shot was hit

Yea he does.

There are times I can handle Johnny because I like how he doesn't coddle the players and make excuses.

There are many, many other times where he gets on my last nerve, though.

Johnny's 63 on the final day at Oakmont bought him a lot of credibility. That being said, Nick Faldo has quickly become his equal in the booth and will likely surpass him in a couple of years. I like Miller, but his "brutal honesty" many times goes over the top. At least he understands choking. He had one of the best choke strokes of all time. For many years, he couldn't hit the lip of a 2-3 footer

Saying Phil is a "one trick pony" is a clear cut case of someone speaking about something for which they have no clue

I don't know how you could call Phil a one trick pony. That's why I wanted clarification before responding.

Talk about symbolism - Tiger struggles on the final day (even though his struggling is everyone else's good day) while Mickelson nails it. Tiger is not the best with the crowd and cheats on his wife, Phil is great with the crowd and ends with a long, sincere emotional meeting with his wife. His entire discussion of the event revolves around his wife.

Phil winning doesn't help Tiger win any sympathy.

Yes, every other athlete that has a microphone shoved in their face and asked something stupid after moral screw-up, a loss, or a poor performance.

You can take your ignorance at it's finest and shove it right up your arrogant opinionated ass.

which is why i said talk to me when he wins the U.S. Open, thereby qualifying the statement to mean major professional championships.

given his overall resume, he should have a lot more than 4 majors listed. hence, me not being impressed with the fact he can only win one major championship with any kind of regularity.

your complex about proving your own self worth is really fun to watch.
