The Masters

I don't think length will be a huge advantage this week. The course should be dry & running fast by Thursday. I would like to see tiger break out but it's hard to say. Phil & Kuchar stick out as well as DJ but there's always that guy that comes from nowhere to make some noise. Maybe Bubba with his length & shot shaping might do something.

Um, yea......

Lol, really? Length is always of course an advantage but as long as the course is dry & playing fast it won't eliminate over half the field. damn some of you are fkn ridiculous.

First, you need to chill out. It's a message board. Not that serious.

Second, it just made me laugh that you said length might not be an advantage but then said a guy could win in part because of his length.

Have a beer or catch a jack.

Relax.

First off I said length won't be a huge advantage if the course is dry & playing fast. Then I said that Bubba with his length & SHOT SHAPING, that's the ability to work the ball equally both ways & work it in to tricky pins, could have a good week. Gotta love selective hearing (reading).

My apologies that you take this board so seriously and let it anger you that much. Get over yourself.

I'm not mad. Felt bad that some people can't comprehend what they read & try to undermine somebody.

Gotta to love VN. Arguments abound even on a Master's thread. I'm taking Nick Watney.

I've played Whistling Straits. It's so freakin overrated its ridiculous! Pete Dye is a complete idiot at the game of golf! I used to think he's senile, but he may actually improve his designs with senility.

Whistling Straits punishes good shots. That's a Dye trademark. I refuse to play another Dye course.

Grew up on Atlanta National. He is definitely a links style specialist. I'm assuming you played the Straits course, it's only about 7500 yards and all carry.

But his irons have failed him too. Lack of reps appeared to be the main issue. It is his putting and wedging that wins, but he was the best iron player ever for about 10 years. He's not today.

Dead on the money.

When the course is playing firm and fast, as it apparently will be this weekend, that opens it up to a bunch of shorter hitters who might get hot with the putter for one week, a la Zach Johnson, Mike Weir, etc. You guys can have Tiger and Phil - I'll take the field. Dark horse: Vijay. He's been there. Experience is a huge advantage at Augusta. And his game seems to be rounding back into form.

I actually like sawgrass & pinehurst #2 is ok other than the rediculous setup for the US open. Whistling straits, well......
