The Meltdown That Is Happening At CatsPause

The problem is that so many individuals in today's society can't look at themselves as the source of their own problems. It's always someone else's fault. A culture of self victimization has taken hold in today's US, especially so in the black community.

Examples:
Women wonder why domestic violence is still a thing. The vast majority of men would never lay a hand on a woman, so why does it still happen? Could it be because women like "bad boys"? After he hits her the first time, it becomes "I can make him better" or "It would be embarrassing". The victim continuates the victimization.
Black people wonder why the N-word is still a thing when they have made it an every day part of their lexicon.
People wonder why they get shot by police officers. It could never be that they assaulted an officer, it must be their race or socioeconomic standing.
People blindly supports political parties like ****ing sports teams and then wonder why our country is so poorly managed.
Etc... Etc... Etc...

I'm not saying that racism/sexism/ whateverism doesn't exist, but if people fixed the things that they can actually effect before complaining about the things they can't, those problems would fade. If people would just learn to look at their roles in their problems instead of always spouting "oppression" and "victimization" this world would be a much better place.

Or it came from the 3 year old black kid. White people hear blacks use the n word a whole lot more than they do blacks. So let's not assume this hypothetical 3 year old has racist parents. He could just go to school with black kids.

I've been coaching football in all black schools for quit sometime. I grew up in government housing. I've been around black people

Being around black peeps and being black are two different things. Also I would venture to say you have not been around black people when they are shooting the bull. don't assume you know when you don't. Please you don't know. You will never know. I don't use the word freely but wont fake the funk and act like I never have. I don't agree with using it in public. Just because white folks hear black people saying it it does not mean it is okay for them to say it. I also coach football and a white kid on my team called a black kid on the other team the N word after a play. The ref kick him oUT of the game. The white parents were more upset at the use off the word than the black parents.

You're first 4-5 sentences are just pure nonsense. You first accused of me having never been around black people. Now you change your argument and claim that it isn't enough to have been around black people.

And this "you don't know. You will never know" is just nonsense and insulting to my intelligence, and insulting to the intelligence of every other white person in America. Your personal inability to explain things, doesn't mean I'm incapable of learning them.

Anyone else here not care about anything Kentucky related? I mean BBall ranks up there with soccer.

This is a stupid statement.

About as stupid as saying a word is offensive when one person says it but not offensive when said by someone else. Changing the "er" to an "a" is just as stupid. Instead of phasing it out for good, the black community keeps it around then cries foul to the news networks that white America is still racist.

I'm just sick of the puzzy-fication of America. It's a word. Does it offend you? Who gives a @#$#. We've got bigger issues than worrying about someone saying a word. I'm a lot more offended by criminal actions than I am some idiot using a an ignorant slur.

The mindset of people like you is absolute garbage. Dont go around as a people glorifying the use of the word and pretending theres some deep meaning that us white folk dont understand, and that it shouldn't be accepted for a white to say it.

If the word is so offensive, stop using it. Otherwise, get over it. The double standard in this country is insane. I hear blacks all the time saying cracker, honky, you name it.. And that is no big deal to people, black or white. But then you have the nerve to tell me its ok for blacks to say nigga and not whites? Get out with that garbage. It goes both ways, and if the black community want the word to go away stop glorifying it. If not , stop crying about it.

A white person choosing to use that word toward a black person is a racist fool. There is no other option

this is an incredibly racist statement.

My grandfather uses the word to this day (he is white). and I am willing to bet my life and my families name (doesn't mean much to most people but it does to me) that he has never once used it in a racist manner. One of my uncles (grandfather's son) adopted a half black child. and my grandfather has described my cousin as "half n____r" and i promise that he treats/thinks of/loves that grandchild no less than any of his other grandchildren.

its not a binary world out there. a word is only racist if it is used that way. anyone that thinks otherwise is the racist. *just noted the hypocrisy in this statement. i will take my walk of shame now.

I have never in my life heard a black person call a white person cracka or honky. I'm white, grew up plays hoops AAU, travel squads, military teams and have sometimes been the only white guy on the team. I spent a lot of time asking and being asked questions about cultures. There's a huge difference in -gga and -ger. Either way, I know its a culture thing and I don't say it. Take time and ask questions with anyone of a different race/culture. Whether its Asian, Hispanic, African American etc. You might learn a little and appreciate the info.

nothing like seeing a good cat fight..over 500 comments on the Calipari "my job is sending players to the NBA"

You Might Want to Sit Down For This One | CatsIllustrated.com

It makes my hair hurt that some of you dumb sob's can't get the message. We get 7-8 drafted we have had one helluva season. Jesus Christ, you can't fix stupid!

12 pages now. Seriously?

In summary, we have a bunch of old farts clinging to some mystical "tradition" that hasn't existed for 20 years and we have others in "mourning" over a GAME played by kids that occurred almost two months ago? You mourn the loss of a family member, close friend or relationship. You get over losing a damn ballgame. Geez.

Some of you people need a career or a hobby so you won't obsess so much over college kids putting a ball trough a hoop.

If not for these people who obsess, he wouldn't make millions to teach kids to throw a ball through a hope. His comments are pretty stupid.

Hate to bump a old post, but I thought it better than just making a new one. I looked on a few UK message boards and got a few good laughs.

Thats hilarious. KY Jelly fans *****ing about their football team. Too much.

few more

"I can't wait for basketball"

"No one in the conference outside us cares about BB. They would take a 1 point FB win against a 60 pt BB loss and walk away whistling."

"This program is inept. I am 32. There has been 1 conference winning record in my lifetime. I was 1. Sometimes I think the only reason fans go to games is because they're afraid the basketball team would suffer or the sec would drop us if we had sunbelt type attendance. I know we have a few die hard UK football fans (like 4 dozen or so) but I refuse to believe there are enough people dumb enough to actually show up year after year and think we are actually going to compete."

"12 IS GONE....WE HAVE A CHANCE NOW!!!"

I laughed a little at this one.

"we're getting donkey dicked at home. stadium is completely empty wow. it will be over soon."

"***** Jones showing the cats defense no respect going for a 4th and 8. i hope we bring the house every passing situation"

"Our coaching staff just got a personal "f-you" on that 4th and 8 from the UT staff."

On other notes even their fans called BS on the target call.

I thoroughly enjoy every UK win now after working with a diehard UK fan a few years ago. I started that job shortly after the 2011 loss, and he was convinced UK was suddenly a superior program. Then he was insufferable when UK held the #1 recruiting class for all of 5 seconds in the summer of 2013.

The host on the Wildcats post game call in show on 840 WHAS had some major sour grapes and a lot of butthurt. He went on and on about how he was tired of a "Non Elite" team like Tennessee beating UK badly every season and dominating them in every way you can dominate another team.

I would like to see UK play Bama as close as we did.

I know what you mean.

Post game so many UK fans say football does not count BUT the stadium is always full. Someone must care about UK football, they do not refurbish stadiums if attendance is not there.

It's like their schedule trolls them. Good start two years in a row, then the real meat of their schedule comes up.
