Reading between the lines... the prosecutor thinks it's intimidation, Batey's defense attorney agrees with the prosecutor that someone may have intentionally leaked this and wants his client tried separately from Vandenburg, and Banks' defense attorney is highly concerned about it.

Vandenburg's attorney? Well... he calls it 'bizarre' and says "What has been put out recently suggests that no crime occurred at all, and to suggest any defendant has been prejudiced by that is ridiculous."

Gee, let's guess which one is most likely behind this little maneuver.

Oh and for those who want a hint before guessing :) here's little info on Vandenburg's attorney who has a rather stellar reputation for being sleazy in Nashville:

The good news is we're up by 30 on Vandy's basketball team.

Clay likes personality and people who can back it up on the field and/or in recruiting, ect. He is gonna be all about the coaches who cause a buzz... He ripped on UT when Dooley was here because he knew all along about his inability.. He pumped up James Franklin because for the most part, JF talked the talk, and walked as well..

Now he's all about Butch. For good reason.

Lol I saw where Franklin said he's happy about the fan support he already has an can't wait to see the stadium full. Can't remember where I saw that now.

It's funny. I'm sure he is excited. Hell he couldn't get vandy to fill their little stadium even when things were looking good an he begged. Must have really sucked.

No Travis likes to jump on hot names and ride their coattails.

He hasn't fully jumped on the Jones bandwagon because he hasn't proven he can get it done on the field yet. If he does, Travis will be all over it; if he doesn't he'll start calling for his firing.

"Well, our men and women's basketball series are tied, even though you beat us by 38 pts last weekend...but we beat you in football in November, so we OWN THE STATE!"

It's like something a 10 year old would argue about.

The series is tied 1-1 in both men and women's hoops so that makes both teams equal is what is really laughable. UT's women finished 2nd in the SEC way ahead of their women who finished in a 5 way tie for 6th (and a losing 7-9 record). UT's men will finish ahead of their men also after tonight's win and UT had the tougher conference schedule having to play Fla twice. You look at head-to-head and then look at where the teams finished. Both men and women's team finished ahead of them.

You'll get no argument in the football series. They won head-to-head at our place. Their OOC schedule is still a flat out joke though. They're guaranteed 4 wins out of the gate with that schedule though.

We'll see what happens in the baseball series. They act like they're some juggernaut, yet they've only been to one CWS. Before Corbin got there, you couldn't find a Vandy baseball fan. That is what is comical. Hell, even with UT being down for the better part of a decade, they still have 3 more CWS than Vandy. That's hilarious.

Yates is just offering deflection of what really is going on at Vandy. Rape trials, coach jumping ship, recruits abandoning ship, assistant coach pleading guilty to DUI. Their BB team sucks as bad as ours but we at least have a bubble shot. Last but not least, its an almost certainty their football team will regain their usual bottom feeder status. All is right with the world. Yates just refuses to accept reality.
