VM is the gift that keeps on giving.
" I would rather have a team that can consistently score in the low thirties to low forties with a defense that holds opponents to the upper teens to low twenties. Defense still wins championships."
Keep counting those championships Vandy....might not take that long, though.
Please tell me these are tounge-in-cheek.
"Les Miles! LSU would love us. They seem to have a love hate relationship with that guy."
"Stoops. He's obviously plateaued at OU. He's done everything he can do there. Time to move on. The time is now."
"Urban Meyer, cause he wants to coach in the best conference again but not in the same division as Bama."
I actually researched this because it sounds absurd. They are winless from '98 to '11 because of vacated wins in the wake of the Sandusky stuff. They are not winless on the field and I could find no history of a significant losing stretch. Fact checking is pretty easy with Google, not always fool proof, but most of the time it is.eace2:
The gift that keeps on giving that is the VandyMania board....
"the little rotten orange could finish as poor as 3-9 next fall starting with the home loss to Utah State for a 5th straight losing year.
(suits me fine)"
Not to even mention that this little nugget is found in a thread stating that Vandy should/could win 10 games next year!
2014 Vanderbilt Schedule
Aug. 28: Temple (Nashville)
Sept. 6: Ole Miss (Nashville)
Sept. 13: UMass (Nashville)
Sept. 20: South Carolina (Nashville)
Sept. 27: at Kentucky (Lexington)
Oct. 4: at Georgia (Athens)
Oct. 11: Charleston Southern (Nashville)
Oct. 25: at Missouri (Columbia)
Nov. 1: Old Dominion (Nashville)
Nov. 8: Florida (Nashville)
Nov. 22: at Mississippi State (Starkville)
Nov. 29: Tennessee (Nashville)
Out of conference schedule is brutal.
Another gem
"Im not sure if it is funnier how washed up the Vols are or funnier they dont even realize their program is a graveyard. All these great recruiting classes and they sit home every year and just continue their coaching carousel."
Nice to know they obsess on us like we obsess on them. The gift that keeps on giving that is the VandyMania board....

No doubt. I actually envy their ooc schedule. I wished we would have bought out the Oregon game and wish we would buy out the OU game this year. If we would have played Temple instead of Oregon, we would have gone to a bowl this year. Schedule a harder ooc game when we have the roster and stability to compete.
Guess he doesn't realize all the top recruits disagree with him.Delusional - I bet you thought you were going bowling this year too. Vanderbilt runs this state now.
Idiot. If one person spoke for a whole fan-base every one of the schools out there would be frowned upon, but since that's all Vandy has we'll give em a pass. Will they fire coach buttch after going 3-9 next fall and pull the trigger again?
You have to remember how delusional the fanbase is.
("we are going to beat Oregon because Palardy is better than their kicker and it will come down to a last second FG") <--was actually heard on local sports-talk radio
Could have very well and in fact should have won 10 this year - Ole Miss game should have been won and in fact if not for the poor start vs South Carolina had a chance to win that one - and what if we'd won 11 games this year? If's and but's I know... but it's not out of the realm of possiblity that they could win 9 or 10 next year at all.
