The military purge stepping up

Equate?

Not in any sense other than to say that both of them put themselves into bad situations and paid the ultimate price.

I'd equate them both as idiots.
George Floyd’s death is venerated by the left and his gold coffin funeral was televised nationally. Mrs Babbit, veteran, wife and mother is deemed to have gotten what she deserved. Does this bother you?

That may be true in a sense if you look at how far someone is from the middle. However, to someone toward the left or right, an opinionated person of the other political spectrum may be seen as an extremist. Perspective isn't just a matter of how you interpret things but where you stand when you make the interpretation.

The middle of what? Who decides that? I'm socially liberal and fiscally conservative - where am I pigeon holed for a middle?

I say let the Commanders do it.

Justice Potter Stewart once said the he didn't know how to define hard-core pornography, but he knew it once he saw it.

I suspect Commanders will also know it when they see it too, we put these decision makers in charge of leading men and women into combat. I'm OK with them making judgement calls on what they believe is "extremism." When folks get done serving and ETS, they can join BLM or the Klan to their hearts content, but there isn't room for that kind of stuff while in uniform.

Truthfully, a display of prejudice, racisim or bigotry of any kind should be rooted out squashed, swiftly.

If an adminstration is getting rid of officers they don't like then the military becomes another partisan hack organization that can lead to deadly and catastrophic consequences. I don't have any personal examples but it sounds as though that is what's taking place with them putting radicals in certain positions. The commercials they've been making are a complete and utter joke!

Nope.

Like I said, I don't g.a.s. about either one of them.

You can come with a bunch of reasons why Ashli holds the moral high ground but I have to tell you that I don't care. Not even a little...

I only brought up Floyd because he did something dumb and was killed for his troubles too - I think arguments have been made that neither one of them deserved what happened and there's probably three sides to that argument, I'm simply pointing out that they are both idiots.

That's a fair answer. Though I do think there should be at least some minimum standards and guidance along with checks and balances on the matter. The way you described could be abused in the wrong hands.

I'm saying Charlie Brown or Loyd Austin wouldn't have much in common about determining what is extreme vs most WW2 commanders. There's already been the discussion elsewhere today about society drifting left. Perhaps you feel secure in a military where the new cartoon commercials appeal to recruits; I don't. That's my take; end of story.

Man we are world’s apart. When I saw the video of Mrs Babbit bleeding out it made my blood boil. The only thing I felt for George Floyd is how many future victims of his should be grateful.

Agreed.

But my take is a little different. AB was a dumbazz and GF got what he deserved for being a menace to society.

I think there was a coverup of who shot her and why. She didn't have a weapon and I believe the legislators were gone.

On the most basic level, they were both killed by police for breaking the law. Outside of those moments, it's all just feelz. He was passing counterfeit bills and she was involved in a violent riot inside of the US Capitol.

It appears as if you'd have me believe that "Mrs Babbit" was in her living room reading the bible.

In either case, your continued attempts to draw circumstantial comparisons based on feelz are falling flat with me. I've explained more than once that I only brought up Floyd as some one else i don't g.a.f. about due to poor decision making. Nothing more, nothing less.

There should probably be an investigation on the circumstances surrounding the events of that day.

oh wait.

I don’t see “feelz” I see good and evil. Are you a Christian?

I am saying they hid the identity of the shooter intentionally. I've never seen this before with law enforcement on domestic soil.

Clearly, you do. Or you wouldn't feel the need to try and impress upon me that you think "Mrs Babbit" was the victim of a police shooting whereas Floyd had it coming. Again, one was in a riot and one was passing bad Jackson's in a Quickie Mart - and they were both doing something stupid.

Good and evil are human constructs and no, I'm agnostic.
