The more I listen to Coach Sal the more I realize

The Colts D pretty much sucked. I'd rather our D be great and offense be behind a little. It's easier to shut down opponents than to outscore them.

We don't have Peyton Manning any more either. Would help if we did

I totally agree, it's just that the idea of not giving up big plays was enough because Peyton was so reliable.

Boss, they would have been slinging garbage at me too. My wife is GoVolGal on here. I just signed her up the other day. She will tell you I jumped up and down and almost cried I was so happy he was gone.

Bold: Can I use that one...that theres funny, I don't care who you are.

Yes you can and glad you're on board here - your stuff's been solid from what I can tell. Just know what you've got coming from homers if you tell it like it is. The unicorns, rainbows, and dove releaser crowd doesn't cope well with factual crticism of the program......but I think you've probably figured that out by now.

This means you have no idea how to answer the question

After a 5-7 season, and getting trampled over and over, losing to Ky, overtime to Vandy, etc...I don't feel it to be necessary. If you can't see the difference in the intensity, I don't know what to tell you. Unless you want to hear another J. Wilcox comment, like "it is what it is".

Wilcox's "Bend don't break" attitude doesn't win titles in the SEC... I really like Sal and I think he's gonna get this D back on track. I always hated how Wilcox made the DB's give a 10 yard cushion on 3rd and short. You're pretty much begging the QB to throw an out pass for the first down. Sal has them lining up close jamming up WR's and getting physical. That's what I like to see. JMO

John Chavis disagrees

That makes no sense. What does listening to coach Sal have to do with Wilcox? Fact is Wilcox is considered a rising star in coaching unfortunately he had very little talent and absolutely no depth to work with here. I hope Sal is great and it's pointless to try and compare but to say Wilcox was over his head is ridiculous. Wilcox was a home run hire by Dooley and had he stayed long enough for the talent to catch up he would have done great things here.

Well, except sack the quarterback.

People act like our Def was horrible, outside of a maybe 1 big play per game except ark n LSU we did a really good job. If we had a running game, our def would have been a lot better.

I saw 3rd and Chavis against FL and Bama until I thought I was going to puke.....

Don't forget that masterpiece he put together at UCLA in the 2nd half in 2008. Their QB threw 4 1st half pics, then dinked and dunked his way to a V in the 2nd. Nice work, Chavy

Actually the one that sticks out the most in my memory was being up 30-14 on the gators in the swamp at the half in 95 and losing 62-37. Course that was his first year and all.....but we did manage to win 11 that year. I think that was the beginning of the 14:59 to go in the 3rd prevent defense. I was there and sat through the rain with my wife and kids and a bunch of f'ing gator fans. Forgive me if I don't care much for Chavis.

Coach Sal moved J. Williams to LB. 6'5"/220 lb. Tall and skinny for a Line Backer?

Edit: I can't read today....260 lbs. Dang, don't want him hitting me!
