That Justin Wilcox was way in over his head here at Tennessee. This is the first time in a long time that I've been this excited about a coach. Sal is the real deal, and I CAN'T WAIT to see the product on the field!!
Go Vols!
Typical orange glasses wishful thinking. Wilcox is one of the bright young minds in the game. In your face yelling is one way to coach, but not the only way. Wilcox got out while the getting was good. Considering that all but two coaches left, who can blame the guy. The D was definately the bright spot for this team since he was DC.
After a 5-7 season, and getting trampled over and over, losing to Ky, overtime to Vandy, etc...I don't feel it to be necessary. If you can't see the difference in the intensity, I don't know what to tell you. Unless you want to hear another J. Wilcox comment, like "it is what it is".
Boise St. Defense ranked 14th in the nation in 2009. That's not good enough to win the SEC. Georgia is ranked 5th. We have to compete with Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Lsu, etc..
I simply think Sal is a big improvement over Justin Wilcox. That is my opinion. He is well spoken, intense, preaches discipline, and the players seem to be responding to him much better.
Uh, yeah, ranked 14th at Boise freakin state. Do you think BSU was beating those schools for talent? All those schools you mention finish in the top 10 in recruiting every year. When is the last time Boise did that?Boise St. Defense ranked 14th in the nation in 2009. That's not good enough to win the SEC. Georgia is ranked 5th. We have to compete with Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Lsu, etc..
