The murder of Ahmaud Arbery

Where’s the personal responsibility for the guy in the white shirts actions? What was he doing there and why was he running? If he was doing nothing wrong, why not stop and explain? If he was up to no good, why not accept defeat and take responsibility for his actions. He chose to run and fight instead. And none of this is on him???

Holy sh**.

He certainly could have said, "Yeah, I was just checking out that house. I like the neighborhood." Or whatever.

But, nothing that he did justifies his slaying.

I need to buy a gun so I can start confronting these joggers I always see. Always suspected there was something wrong with people who jog.

It's open season now. And if they get shot they should have done what they were told.

Jic you missed this. Curious what your thoughts are.
I’ve had citizens point out burglars or sex offenders or DUI people to me when I had arrived to a scene where they have detained them themselves or followed them. People should weigh the risks to anything they do. I wouldn’t have chase this guy if I had been these two but even then the shooting was caused point blank because he attacked them

Because you know, I'm sure he thought the rednecks chasing him in a truck in southern Georgia with guns just wanted to have a nice chat.

Weezer: If you didn't do nothing wrong, then why you jogging???
Jogger: ...
Weezer: Exactly!

Because they CHASED him.

Good God Almighty.

Again you say they are “rednecks” because...? And what does Southern Georgia have to do with anything? If it happened in Nevada or Iowa would have it been different?

If you think you know exactly what happened you are no more enlightened than he is in all honesty. There is a lot we don't know and anyone with intellectual honesty would admit as much.

There is more than enough there to convict for manslaughter, the video combined with the official reports of the events. If you can't get a manslaughter charge out of that then they might as well remove it as a crime.

If I wanted to help find someone/keep eyes on them, would you want me out of my car or inside it?

You are choosing to ignore that they were following him and carrying guns. He had every reason to feel threatened.

Hey look who is trying to deflect again. Hey tell us again they witnessed the crime when they 100% didn't, even by the shooter's own admission.

If I was there I would’ve done it myself. If it was an ex police officer there? I probably would ask for help if I needed it

Driving and following someone isn’t a reason to assault them

Thinking a guy looks like a dude you think might have committed trespassing isn't a reason to chase them down with guns either.

Also you're leaving out the guns part genius.

I agree with manslaughter but that isn't what the post I responded to stated.
