This was from a post i just saw on FB. This is how ridiculous these narratives are,
95% of these cases involve CLEAR CRIMINAL ACTIVITY by the suspect resulting in their death and some even killed THEMSELVES. and they are portrayed as "walking from the corner store (Mike Brown)" and "can't get a normal traffic ticket (Sandra Bland)" or "can't play cops and robbers (Tamir Rice)"

This is why the media narrative and lies in these cases are so important to discuss

Depends on the circumstances. If someone came over and had coffee with me and just never returned the mug, I’m not claiming I would dedicate my life to hunting them down.

But if you broke into my vehicle or home like in this story and stole something out of my vehicle or home (a gun in this story), I would have no problem taking that persons life if I knew beyond a doubt I had the right person. Even more so if I caught them in the act

Rights without judgement removes the personal responsibility. Are you within your rights? You better believe it. Are you exercising good judgement...are you acting in a way which accentuates your personal responsibility? No. Those of us who cherish liberty like to point out deficits in personal responsibility of those who our system failed.

It come down to the following under GA state law:

- Did the two guys have a reasonable amount of evidence to attempt detaining Arbery and did they attempt to call the police to assist?
- Did the two guys have a right under GA state law to be carrying their weapons on their person and in the vehicle?
- Does the son have a right to self-defense when he is physically attacked and the gun is attempting to be taken from his hands?
- Is it provable 100% that the son shot the fatal shot to Arbery vs. the gun's trigger being pulled in the struggle by Arbery accidentally? Is there GS residue on Arbery's hands?

1. They did not. They did not see him commit a crime. They don't even claim to have seen him commit a crime. They sought to detain him because he might have been the guy who was seen on video, and the guy on that video might have committed theft in the neighborhood. That is nowhere close to the "immediate knowledge" required to make a lawful citizen's arrest.
2. Yes they did.
3. He has the right to self defense UNLESS he created the imminently dangerous situation thru his own actions. He cannot create a danger and persist in doing so by threatening another person and then shoot his way out of that danger.
4. Who ultimately fired the fatal shot is 100% irrelevant. Cletus introduced the shotgun into the situation, he threatened Arbery with it, and Arbery was shot during a tussle for the weapon. It doesn't matter if Cletus pulled the trigger intentionally or if Arbery pulled it accidentally or if the gun went off on its own. All of those scenarios are the responsibility and fault of Cletus and Cletus alone.

OK, but I'm asking why people doubt that he's just a jogger. What are they basing that on? I know the Guardian is left-leaning, but this lady is saying he was known in the neighborhood as a jogger. I just want to know what makes people say otherwise.

There are supposedly videos of "him or someone that looks like him" trespassing and stealing from a construction site in the neighborhood. By stating this I am not saying anything other than that's what I read. This could cast this in a racial light and I am not making that statement at all. I am in the camp that NOTHING gives these two guys the right to approach or try and detain anyone with a shotgun. I think they are at a minimum guilty of assault with a deadly weapon and most likely murder to some extent.

What I am challenging is this Arbery situation of being "hunted down" by 2 white males as being normal for black people and how this is something they face every time they leave their house. That is a patently false statement and statistics back that up.

With that being said, I'm not all trying to dismiss what happened here. He was murdered by 2 idiots who deserve the death penalty. I am simply upset at the narrative that this is anything beyond a tragic tragic death that didn't have to happen.....much the same with Christian and Newsome and alot more deaths that go unnoticed as well.
