The NC State Postgame Report (aka I can't believe I wasted two hours of my time)

Zo is done. he is the most uninspired coach I have ever seen. I know a few loved him for whatever reasons but I think deep down they knew he wasn't cut out for the job. Either way he should be fired because he shows no sign of being a coach and anybody can set on the sideline and look clueless. Was the attendance really 7k ?

I was through after the Xavier game. Ppl kept saying the loss wasn't bad. It was....UTEP was even worse but at least they have a good coach, tonight was horrible. We will struggle this whole season.

I was at the game and there were probably 12,000 at least in attendance tonight. Pretty dead, like the team, until we made our run in the second half. This BB program needs a big dose of Bruce Pearl.

Fire Martin tomorrow and be done with this embarrassing garbage. I wouldn't be mad if our coach at least showed one bit of emotion. . He has less character than a brick wall. I live in Lexington and had the balls to wear a vols shirt to the bar only to get heckled and made fun of... and I still tried to defend the T! Cuonzo didn't even do that much on our home court.

I was there also and there were less than 9,000 in attendance. The 100 and 200 levels had lots of empty seats.

Second straight game where we lose a top 10 play because of refs, and Martin just stands there.

Pearl would've gotten a technical for the one called on McRae at Wichita, and he would've gotten one here for them calling the charge on Stokes when it was obvious his foot was on the line.

Both opportunities for the coach to fire up our team, both wasted and turned into runs for the other team. Failure as a coach, nothing more.

Yep. I'm done with Cuonzo after this one. Tonight's game was absolutely critical to establish a bit of momentum and get a non-conference win against an fairly average opponent, and we come out THAT flat? Absurd. I was actually encouraged after the Wichita State game, as we went toe to toe with them on their home floor for 36 minutes before the wheels came off at the end, but following that up with a performance like this is absolutely inexcusable.

By my reckoning, it's going to take beating Virginia and going something like 14-4 in the SEC to get into the Dance. I just don't see that as possible. The talent is there. The coaching is not.

Wow!!!! How in this world can this talent laden team play this utterly unmotivated and unintelligent. Sorry. I have lost all confidence in Coach Martin. Great man. His team is just really bad!!!!

The pope is a great man, but I don't want him coaching our basketball team.

Unfortunately , I have come to the same conclusion . Martin just isn't gonna get it done . All the while , ESPN is running the Lambert decomittment across the bottom of the screen every 2 minutes it seemed

1. The worst performance of the Cuonzo Martin era. An embarrassment and a ridiculous performance that I personally have never been more horrified to watch. I wish I could cleanse that filth from my eyes.

2. This offense will never be fixed while Cuonzo Martin is here. It's just a fact. There's no hope. And the defense is too inconsistent to give UT something to hope for.

3. Where was the press? Why not once? You are sucking anyways, why not just try it to see if that works? Maybe because that would actually take an idea?

4. I want to go to Atlanta and personally apologize to Trae Golden for thinking Antonio Barton was a better fit for this team. Antonio Barton played the worst game I've ever seen at UT with the PG position. Cuonzo deserves 95% of the blame for how this season has played out, but it doesn't help when your point guard doesn't know what the hell is going on most of the time. He looks completely lost and is letting his defense affect him.

5. Jarnell Stokes and Jeronne Maymon are nice players, but you will get abused inside with them on defense and that's what happens on defense. They don't rotate well and their lack of length doesn't contest shots.

6. When will these players learn you can't gamble on defense? Too many times they stupidly went for steals that cost them points.

7. Bernard King Player(s) of the Game: The Tennessee fans for having to watch that gutless performance.

8. Jarnell Stokes has not gotten better since he arrived on campus. That is a complete failure on this coaching staff and an indictment on them.

9. The good news? Darius Thompson is the real deal. He's the only redeeming quality today.

10. Screw this performance. Their was no heart from the coach, no heart from the team, no heart from anyone. I'm angry and I believe I have a right to be. You come home and you put up that kind of performance? What kind of heart do you have? It tells me none. They didn't want to be on the court and I feel bad for the fans that spent their money on the game today. I don't care about excuses. I don't care about what's wrong. Cuonzo Martin better get this fixed or he will be gone. At this rate, it's not going to be. An embarrassing performance by this team. If you can't get your team up for a game like this, you need to reevaluate everything with your program because it's not working. Right now, this program is failing. That's on Cuonzo Martin and if I was Dave Hart...after seeing that kind of performance...Martin would be on the hot seat.

Just a boring brand of basketball. That is all.

I can't believe how poorly this team is playing with the talent we have. CCM is holding this team back big time. I've been a supporter of his but I just don't see a bright future for him. Who do we go after if we let CCM go?

I can't believe I'm saying this, but is there a reason why Pearl shouldn't be considered at least somewhat?

Not sure if hell be fired yet, but he's officially on the hot seat. This sucks. Not confident about the future if he is fired soon. Hopefully we won't lose too many players, especially Thompson and Davis.
