OP... did you read that Randy Moore of Inside Tennessee said that CCM doesn't recruit any player verbally committed to another school? I would hope he's not that big of a moron.

It's true. It's why he told D. Thompson last year he wouldn't recruit him while he was committed to Vandy. DT soon decommitted from Vandy, and we picked up our recruitment.

I turned the game on and watched for about 10 minutes and had enough. We are absolutely terrible! Conzo ball is so boring to watch!!

Martin CAN save his job by making a serious run that puts us in the tournament.

OK... so it does reflect again that CCM is a nice guy who apparently has some sort of principle about doing that. Also it reflects that he is not well suited for the cutthroat world of big time college recruiting.

I love Tennessee basketball, and have for many years, but i cannot watch them play anymore. It is boring, and i could live with that if we could score, or play good D, or make layups/free throws.But we do not do any of those things. I went to a couple of games this year hoping we would catch on and start playing well, but it's not going to happen. CCM seems to have lost this team. These guys DO NOT play for him. When we no longer play basketball like a girls middle school team, I will get back into it. (By girls middle school team i mean moving the ball well, making layups & free throws, and just look like we know what the hell we are doing in general.)

1. Maymon came to play with his 17 points and 10 rebounds so he is the Bernard King player of the game in my opinion.

2. North Carolina State's size was a major factor in the game with 12 blocks and altered shots........ UT needs at least 2 7 footers to play against this kind of team.

3. Too many 3 point shots instead of a midrange shot attempt.

4. I will let this season play itself out before saying anything about the coaching staff.

5. UT only shot 29% in the first half and you can't win any ball games shooting like that.

Onward to Morehead State.

I wanted CCM to succeed; I think he is a good man and a good role model. But frankly, he just isn't cutting it as the coach of a major college program. Look at the coaches of the teams UT has lost to: Chris Mack, Tim Floyd, Gregg Marshall, Mark Gottfried. ALL OF THEM are superior coaches to CCM. We need to spend the money and get a coach who can compete with people like that.

Worst performance I have ever seen by such a talented team. This lies square on the shoulders of CCM. I was an staunch CCM supporter but no more. I used to think it was crazy but now I want CBP back. I think he would love to come back. Damn, just damn.

If I were involved in the decision making at the University, I would push to fire Martin over the break, let one of the assistants take over as the interim (really, does it matter which one?) and begin a concentrated, organized search for the next Coach.

Does Cuonzo just not know how to motivate his players for a game? Total lack of fire from the players and coaches.

Darius Thompson is the lone bright spot for this season and probably for the rest of the season.

IMO, Hubbs can look like a 5* player with the right coaching and he certainly doesn't have that right now. Get someone in here that can motivate and develop these players properly! Good grief!

Maymon had 16 boards (10 offensive). He hustled if nothing else.

We shot 29% for the entire game, not just the first half. Awful.

Yeah I thought it was Maymons best game so far. He just had zero help. Our shooting has just been atrocious the last couple of games. McRae had 21 but was 3 for 12 from the 3 pt line.

I want to see CCM let these guys play. Come out pressing next game and play balls out from the get. Screw the game plan, cause the game plan sucks.

I think letting him go now would be the way to go. Get someone who can actually coach and fire up these players. They clearly don't play for Cuonzo.

Absolute disgrace of a game. We have a talent-laden roster full of guys that are aboard a rudderless ship. I don't know if anyone has taken CCM's pulse, held a mirror to his face, something, but I have seen teams in pickup games with better direction.

That's not going to happen. He'll be here to the end of the season, or possibly before if they drop below .500.

Unless he resigns, which I don't see.

I am the opposite, I get madder each time because I keep defending this guy and thinking this team will figure it out. Every game means a more experienced team yet worse results. It's maddening.

Basketball Dooley strikes again. A lot of us tried to warn you before the season even started.

Also, as bad as this game likely was (I haven't been watching for a few weeks now), I can't imagine it's worse than the Austin Peay or Georgetown games. Man those were bad.

The big issue for CCM is when we drop a few games in the SEC and 5,000 people show up in TBA. Dave Hart won't have to make a decision then because it will already be done for him.
