I see.

Given the lack of future NFL talent, that makes that 1995 season for them even more impressive.

It was a team well constructed for the college game. They had small, fast defenders and roadgrader offensive linemen. Their personnel matched their schemes perfectly.

Agreed, but still top 30 that year. I can't think of any national champs in the last decade they would have beaten 6 out of 10 times.

I bet some wacko would've gave Oregon some love after they throttled Colorado, who throttled Nebraska.

Some (bias) gave Ohio State love when UT went 13-0 and won the N/C in 98, so you have a solid point.

More like #1.You hate the Cornhuskers and you admire the Hurricanes, so you seem bias towards them.

Clinton Portis, Willis McGahee, and Frank Gore are all Pro-Bowlers I believe. Saying a guy would be #4 on that team isn't really an insult.

The Canes had better players its just the style of Off. that Neb. used with the speed of Phillips and Frazier.

It wasn't just Nebraska's speed. I was at that Fiesta Bowl watching Nebraska demolish Florida, and Nebraska's offensive line was blowing Florida's defensive line and linebackers all the way back into their secondary. It was like watching an NFL team play against a high school team. While the 2001 Miami team was phenomenal, that Nebraska team was far too tough for the 01 Miami squad.

The 2001 Miami Hurricanes were an unbelievable team. The 2001 Nebraska Cornhuskers were quite possibly the least deserving team to ever play for a national championship.

The 1995 Cornhuskers would have run right over the top of the 2001 Miami Hurricane's defense. It wouldn't have mattered how great Miami's secondary could cover wide receivers because Nebraska wouldn't have needed to throw the ball.
