You have a point, but my imagination can't comprehend the context that would make the officer's actions OK. It appears to clearly be a subdued situation that the officer escalates.
Not really. The beatings last just that long. Looked like nothing was out of control before or after the police started beating the protesters.
As I said above, the police went too far, for sure. But, the police are legally allowed to use force to stop a crime from being committed. The crowd was committing a crime, and they were refusing to stop doing so. The police used too much force, but some force was completely justifiable.
