The Office: Season 6 Thread

I thought Recyclops was stupid. I guess it was funny that they kept showing him doing it every year in front of all the different receptionists, but then it got a little ridiculous.
That show is just changing so much now. It used to be the funniest show on television just because of subtle humor. Now they resort to kicking someone in the face by accident, or even nut shots for a laugh.
Disappointing.

I don't see how the writers could be running out of ideas already but that appears to be what is happening. I'm sure we could come up with several funny show ideas on Volnation alone so I don't know what their excuse is.

Do you guys think Dunder Mifflin will go bankrupt or will they find a way to get out of it?

kind of what I've been wondering as well. i hope they aren't setting up for the end of the series. it's about as highly rated as it's ever been, but most longtime fans seem to agree that the show has lost it's way a bit over the past year or two.

I think Jim lands that "big account" that he was trying to tell David Wallace about on the phone and it brings them out of bankruptcy...or something like that.

that's possible. if the show is going to keep going for more seasons, the writers need to find some way to keep it fresh and return it to it's top form, and I'm not really sure what that means they need to do. i think losing some of the writers to parks and rec has hurt the show a little bit as well.

I personally don't think the show has lost much of a step; this season has been great so far.

I kind of expected it to JTS after Jim and Pam finally hooked up but it hasn't...yet.

I love this show, but its just not on the level of the earlier seasons, especially two.

The Jim/Pam storyline is old, obnoxious, and no longer charming or funny. There’s no predicate anymore with that storyline. The writers need to focus on other characters, like Andy, Kelly, and Creed. Jim and Pam are a couple of moody arses now. I do sorta like how Jim's turning into a younger, married version of Michael, although it's more ironic rather than funny.
