The Office: Season 6 Thread

When that girl that Dwight was hanging out with smacked Angela in the forehead was one of the funniest moments of the season.

Did anyone by chance catch last nights episode? It was bumped here in Knoxville by a telethon to raise money for flood victims in nashville. I guess I'll see it when it comes to DVD this summer.

Daryl played a prank that went wrong.

Dwight was hired by Micheal to find out if she was cheating on him so he decided to hit on her at the gym (didn't go well).

Micheal found out he was the mistress in the relationship with his new girlfriend.

This has really been an up and down season. There have been some great episodes, Jim and Pam's wedding stands out as one of the best, and some fairly mediocre ones. Overall, I think this season has been better than last. To be honest, I think Parks and Rec is the better of the two shows right now. I know a lot of people wrote it off in the first season, but I would urge people to give it another shot. The show has really come into it's own in the second season.

I agree that this season has been better than last, but tonight's finale has to be the least eventful one yet. Not counting the first season of course.

There is simply a limit to how many good storylines they can come up with within the confines of an office setting. That's one reason I kind of feel like the show has declined over the past couple seasons. Still one of my favorite shows on TV, but those early seasons, especially season 2 and 3, were always going to be tough to equal.

I'm pretty sure Carell is leaving then, right?

Carell's contract is up after next season. He said that as of right now, he likely won't return after that.

Finale was solid. Not really sure what direction they are going to go next year.

There were two, maybe three good episodes this season. I am so disappointed with the way this show has evolved. Seasons two and three were some of my favorite in television history, but now they can barely get me to crack a smile.
I thought last night was a terrible season finale. This has been my favorite show for a few years, and I really think I'm done with it now. I wish 30 Rock come on at 9. It's A LOT funnier.

Last night's finale was funny, but to me this season has been the least funniest. The Wedding and The Delivery episodes were both hilarious, and some other episodes were great, but a lot of episodes were somewhat forgettable. Carell is usually good for laughs but some of the episodes this year he looked like he was almost going through the motions. I feared the whole buyout storyline might not go much of anywhere and it sort of seems like they don't know where to go. In a way I hope next season is the last and they pull out all the stops.

I like P and R, but to me it's pretty much in the same boat as the Office now. It's had some hilarious moments, but I find it kind of up and down. Poelher has her moments but I find her hit and miss; she's nowhere near as funny as Carell to me. Aziz Ansari and Chris Pratt are the main reasons I watch; they steal the show. Plus Rob Lowe was awesome in his guest appearance.

This. Also, I've always felt a lot the same about Carell on The Office. He has his moments, but the rest of the cast, especially Rainn Wilson, often steal the show.

They tried to make too much of a storyline into the show. It used to be a bunch of different stuff every week and it was hilarious.

Yeah, I think they started to pamper to the average sitcom fan, when they should have just kept the true Office style.
