The Office: Season 6 Thread

that's possible. if the show is going to keep going for more seasons, the writers need to find some way to keep it fresh and return it to it's top form, and I'm not really sure what that means they need to do. i think losing some of the writers to parks and rec has hurt the show a little bit as well.

Sounds strange, but I'm tired of the writers worrying with a plot on the show. It used to be sort of like Cheers, where every episode happened in the same place, and one didn't necessarily tie-in with the next episode.
It will never get back to the hilarity of seasons two and three.

Was season 3 the one where they merged the two branches? If so, that whole season was the peak of the show.

I figured out what's wrong with the new episodes. It's the disrespect they show for superiors.
In the first few seasons, Michael could do any dumb thing he wanted, and they'd just roll their eyes. Now they want to scream at Michael and Jim for every little thing.
Having said that, I did actually like last night's episode more than most this season.

My wife pointed out that Lane Kiffin, with his expressionless way of speaking during an interview, is a lot like Toby Flenderson.

And I feel a lot the same about LK as michael scott does about toby... "I hate so much about the things he chooses to be...."

Last night's episode wasn't bad. Interesting to see the storyline take a new direction, and it'll be funny to see Michael have to deal with the new bosses and strickter rules.

well it looks like they finally fixed the show. Really funny episode. Jim is back in sales and Michael is the sole manager.

"You always stay seated when a lady enters the room?"

"I am treating the same way in which I would treat a man, for whom I would also not stand. Unless it was the President or Judge Judy."

"I like you."

Classic episode last night! Andy had me rolling when he was in the conference room doing that evolution dance in silence.

The best part of last night was when Dwight started throwing all his weapons out the window of his car as he was being pulled over by the cops.

I was hoping that the baby would look like Dwight, aka glasses and sideburns. Even if she was dreaming.
