The Office: Season 7 Thread

I think David Wallace said they only wanted to keep the branches not corporate. I don't think he specifically said only Scranton was sticking around.

I still wonder how that branch exists. I thought they only kept the Scranton branch for the name and production. And as for going back to Nashua, no way that happens. They wouldn't have that love triangle

Yeah the whole AJ being there kind of messes it up, but I can't think of any other thing that would make Michael leave that quickly. I mean they only have 2 more episodes before he starts his leaving and up to this point, there has been no indication he's going to leave or even thinking about it. So something pretty big is going to have to happen in the next 2 episodes to make him want to leave a place he's been at for 15 years.

He gets a job at corporate and says he'll only take it if Holly can join?

Well it's officially been renewed for an 8th season. Methinks it will the last.

I mean, let's face it. Jo already likes Michael. He's done her a huge favor with the printer issues. If Sabre wants to make something out of the Paper side of the company, they're gonna want someone near the top that knows what they're doing with paper. He's the most successful and tenured DM employee. I can totally see it.

I think that keeps the character too close to daily operations for someone who is leaving the show.

Pretty sure Carrell isn't interested in being a recurring character.

True...It's just a thought. I feel like it could be a more plausible an idea than I've heard anywhere else.

Plus, in order to make it a "tough" decision and make it look like he doesn't want to leave, he's told that if he takes the job, he won't be able to just go back and forth. He'll be required to remain in Florida for the betterment of Sabre. In the end, he goes, and maybe 2 or 3 times next season he is in a teleconference, but that's it.

The staff seemed genuinely upset when they heard he was leaving. It's definitely gonna be sad to see Michael leave.

I'm actually pleased with the way he's being written off. I was starting to worry, but it's actually plausible.

I'm just glad that stupid fake script was 100% debunked.
