The Office: Season 7 Thread

Pam - "Holy ****! Is that real?"

Michael - "And right over there, that's where you realized Meredith was prostituting herself for Outback steak. And I will never forget that you had the cutest look on your face because you couldn't believe it, you thought it was so wrong."

That made me laugh as well. I've got it on a memory stick, I'll have to watch it again today.

One of the better episodes of the entire show IMO. I've watched it like 3 times now.

I definitely agree. That was a fantastic episode. The ending was great. I just watched it a second time and I laughed just as much

I caught more the 2-3 times after than I did the first time through. I think the reason I liked it more was because Jim acted more like the Jim of old. Punking Dwight is always funny. I'm going to be sad when the show ends.

Both of those were great lines. Pam's reaction was so realistic.

Awesome episode. Excited to see Will Ferrell on the show. His character on Eastbound and Down was pretty amazing.

Awesome stuff to end the season.

We have Steve Carell's last 3 episodes, Will Ferrell's 4 episode arc, and Rickey Gervais is back for the season finale along with Will Arnett guest starring.

sounds like a good stretch to close out the final part of the season. i don't think i can look at will arnett without thinking of gob from arrested development.

Agree on Arnett. His recurring role on 30 Rock is pretty funny too.

Haven't they already said it would be either Andy,Dwight, or Darryl?
I thought they said they were considering them, but it may be someone from outside, anyways. Darryl's the only one who I think would work. Andy getting the job would just be ridiculous. I don't think people would want to work for Dwight, either. Maybe Jim will leave? I find it hard to imagine him staying at the company too much longer, to be honest.

Andy is the worst salesman there. He's not getting the job

Exactly. They said Andy, Dwight, Darryl, or an outside hire. I still wouldn't be shocked if it's Ricky Gervais. Judging by his cameo a few episodes ago, I'd honestly be surprised if it wasn't him.

I thought Gervais already put that rumor to bed....

I can't see any existing characters taking the job without killing the show, as they are all written as great foils to one another, I think it would just ruin the dynamic if anyone were to get bumped up.

Daryl would be the only one that made sense out of the existing 3 since he's the only one with managerial experience. Both Dwight and Andy are idiots in their own way and I can't see the others being ok with answering to him. At the same time even in TV land Daryl rising that high that fast isn't realistic. It hasn't been that long since he was in the warehouse.

The long rumor has been Danny McBride. While he's funny, I don't think he's a good fit for The Office humor. The other big rumor has been Rhys Darby (Murray from Flight of the Conchords). He's the one I'd love to see. I seriously doubt Gervais is back fulltime and I'm not sure Arnett would be it either.

The guy that Jim knew in the episode where Andy had the sales seminar was someone I suspected.

It just struck me as odd for some reason.

Sad thing is that, in a boss-role, I picture him as his character in Yes Man

I'm thinking it might be someone more vanilla since they've already said whoever it is won't be the center of the show like Michael was. I'm wondering if maybe the Timothy Olyphant character might take over.

Which BTW, have they dropped that storyline? I mean I knew he'd be recurring and not regular but are they not even going to mention him again this season?
