I wouldn't mind that, but I don't want them to lose their ability to reference old occurrences (for instance, Creed paying to use the women's restroom)

I agree with that. I just don't think the show is as funny now that it focuses on season long plots and things like that.

One thing I really like about the Office writers is that every line they write is calculated. Also, unlike Lost, they hate loose ends.
