The Office: Season 7 Thread

I think Ricky Gervais is going to end up taking over for Season 8.

I used to think not a chance, but Gervais said before last week's episode with David Brent's cameo that the future of the series would be made more clear with that episode or something to that affect. In his cameo when David finds out Michael works at Dundler Mifflin he ends it with asking if there are any openings, Michael says not right now and the scene ends with David saying something like "let me know."

So while still a long shot, that small cameo may have been more than just a cameo for the fans.

I think Gervais taking the position is one of the only ways they can not ruin the next season

They need more Todd Packer and I liked David Wallace better than Kathy Bates character.

***Semi-Spoiler Alert regarding a future episode title***
I saw that one of the near future episodes is titled "Todd Packer." You're in luck.

Still the best character on the show imo.

Kevin. Malone.

Jim sucks now, the whole relationship thing among the characters has been the downfall of the series. The average American is too stupid to enjoy a show without a sequential storyline as opposed to free standing episodes.

fyp?

And as for Kevin, I really like him. I really liked when they had Holly thinking he was retarded. That was golden.

Nah. The Office was great when it wasn't a abcdefg storyline. Now its good, but limited as to where they can go with it.

Gotcha. I read that as saying that Americans are too stupid to enjoy x as opposed to x.

(where x ≠ Lane Kiffin)

The only time jim wasn't consistently funny was when he was a manager. The only character i don't really care for is gabe.

One quirky detail I like is how much Erin hates Holly for no reason

Cracks me up. Not as great as Micheal's hatred for Toby.

Todd Packer and Michael Scott plus Will Farrell will be interesting.

I just hope it's not an episode where Packer is leaving. Packer is not a character that should be in every episode but he's good enough that he needs to be brought in every now and then. Like the St. Patrick's Day episode last season and this season for the Halloween episode.

That guy cracks me up. He left Michael a "package" in his office and Michael was pissed until he found out Packer did it. He's always calling Jim a queer too, pretty funny.

I think the closest to an explaination is Erin looks to Michael like a father-figure, which was established in the Glee Party episode, and she's being overly-protective.

I still say "What's up my nerds?" all the time.

Loved when the employees tried to cheer up Michael when he had to break up with Donna and they had to frantically kick Toby out at the last minute

Also the episode where Stanely was going to work for Karen and Michael walked in on the "Finer Things" club meeting and saw Toby in a bow tie and said: "This is why everyone is leaving."
