Let you in the locker room at Half if you can show me this quote, free of your clammy hands edits of course.

Keep your locker room visit Steven. I've seen plenty.

Most reasonable post yet. That's really all I wanted to hear. Instead of bashing Bruce like hat and his followers do, let's offer contstuctive criticism. Anyone ever think that he might not have the most coachable guys currently or in the past. .....

Bruce Pearl cannot recruit coachable players.
He might not have the most coachable guys currently or in the past.
Man those two statements are EXACTlY the same. One says that BP can't do something, the other (which is my quote =) ) says that he possibly didn't have coachable guys.
Have you ever recruited anyone? A little common sense tells us that kids are not always (usually never) what they appeared to be at first. Ever thought you knew someone's character only to find out that you were wrong? I have. So, no your not getting in the LR with me (I'm not steven, I'm Me) and I NEVER said that BP lacked the ability to recruit and sign coachable players. Next?

Have you been a recruiter? Assessing work effort, if really trying, just isn't that hard. There are certain people that will always tell the truth.

Guys who have coached some of the biggest knuckleheads in college basketball decided Ramar Smith wasn't worth the trouble. It's not that hard to sort out the bad eggs.

OK, I will amend my statement:

(You) Anyone ever think that he might not have the most coachable guys currently or in the past.

plus

Pearl recruits his players (that's a given)

equals

Anyone ever think that he might not recruit the most coachable guys currently or in the past.

Happy now?

18 yeard olds change their attitude on a daily basis. Up one day, down the next. To say that a recruiter can pick a kid (with any sense of consistency) that will be responsive to the SPECIFIC situation, and know beyond a shadow of a doubt that he will continue to remain coachable throughout his career is a pipe dream. These kids (everywhere) are as flippant with there attitudes as they are with their performance.

Yea, I guess all the coaches that quit recruiting Ramar Smith were just lucky guessers.

Nope twisty mctwister
We can say with certainty that he did not recruit the majority of guys on roster in years 1&2 . Then there's the year with something like 7 transfers or freshman.
Indisputable evidence that he is at complete fault for not having coachable guys? NO
