Nope twisty mctwister
We can say with certainty that he did not recruit the majority of guys on roster in years 1&2 . Then there's the year with something like 7 transfers or freshman.
Indisputable evidence that he is at complete fault for not having coachable guys? NO

Yea, Bruce's entire 1st recruiting class is now gone with the exception of Chism. That definitely doesn't suggest he recruits low character guys.

Yea, I guess all the coaches that quit recruiting Ramar Smith were just lucky guessers.
It's just like those coaches who miraculously continue to find guys who play with intensity of the defensive end and rebound. It's all blind luck.

I'm starting to think that the good coaches just have to be psychics.

What? You didn't know K, Calhoun, Huggs, and Jamie Dixon all have Miss Cleo on speed dial? Dionne Warwick and her Psychic Friends have long been the key to the successes of Roy Williams and Bill Self.

Could it have anything to do with the schools these coaches work for? Nah, that's crazy talk. We all know everybody wants to come to UT.

That makes even more sense. Only the perennial powerhouses play defense. I get it now.

Yeah, Morgantown and Pittsburgh have long been desired destinations for top notch guys.

18 yeard olds change their attitude on a daily basis. Up one day, down the next. To say that a recruiter can pick a kid (with any sense of consistency) that will be responsive to the SPECIFIC situation, and know beyond a shadow of a doubt that he will continue to remain coachable throughout his career is a pipe dream. These kids (everywhere) are as flippant with there attitudes as they are with their performance.

I know there are some misses, but guys working hard at it miss far less often. All will take some chances and miss here and there. CBP, being a players coach who demands little will get a helluva lot more guys attracted to laissez faire approaches. Far more of those guys get sent home.

The last couple of weeks on this forum has confirmed that VN needs to have an ID Check. No one under 18 allowed to post. (Personally, I'd make it an IQ quiz to gain admission.)

Agreed that his style will attract more of these guys. But, do you want to send T-smith and Wayne home? I don't, I'd rather have raw talent that wins than a bunch of ball-divers that can't jump or run.

Funny how there are a bunch of guys who have no problem getting talented guys who will play hard.

Hat, only the perennial powers play with intensity; we've already established that.

Believe it or not, guys that jump and run can also be defenders, rebounders and ball divers. These guys winning titles have figured out the trick to combining the two.

Watchin Lofton play before you knew who he was. Love Chris to death, but remind me where he is playing currently again?
Posted via VolNation Mobile

Yea, you are clearly an expert on recruiting and college basketball in general.

Remind me how good his replacement is doing?

Runs and jumps better, but plays worse defense, rebounds less and shoots worse. Many beleve he'll play in the NBA. Maybe he'll replicate CLo's AA awards or POY trophy, but I doubt it.

You hit it on the head Hat, there sure are.
Talented guys that play "hard" as you call it go to POWERHOUSES.
Guys thatjust play hard- mostly AA schools and some 5th years that reach the floor
Guys that are just talented- Mediocre BCS schools,( yep, that's us).

Before yall show me 1 guy that goes against what I'm saying here, I mean this as a general rule.
