Sounds good Ed! Best of luck to the splitters this season!Hey Indy. Street and Smith picked LMU preseason 4th in the nation. Coaching staff not crazy about the prediction. A total of 10 newcomers on the team. Lots of talent but scant experience.
I'll give an update on kn the team after we get through boot camp starting Wed. morning at 6AM.

Didn't want to start a new thread but I was curious if any newcomers could have an impact this year? I think maybe we only have one scholarship newcomer but I could be wrong.
Thanks. I knew about Kent and Pons. Burns being our only new addition I wasn't sure if he would have an impact or not. I looked at the UT roster and noticed John Jancek's son, Brock is a walk-on. He's a big kid at 6'-8" and 212. Hopefully Kent has put on some weight. He looked fragile last year.I believe DJ Burns is our only incoming scholarship player, but Zach Kent only played 13 total minutes last year and I think he will be used situationally this season. With his size and ability from the perimeter he could help with spacing on the low block and free up Grant to either avoid a double-team or have an open shooter on the outside.
Additionally Yves Pons will probably see a few more minutes this season as a defensive stopper and I would assume his time on the floor will include a bigger role on offense this year as well. With his size and speed he’s capable of being a lock-down defender at 3 or 4 different positions.
Just hard to find regular minutes for everyone with this much returning talent. A lot of guys will be used situationally and it’ll all depend on who we’re playing that night.

To add to this, the Guard rotation (specifically PG) is the only place we are losing minutes from last year (Daniel graduating and Chris Darrington Transfering out).
So who gets those minutes? Is it Johnson? Do we bump up Admiral into a SG role and let Turner play some PG when Bone is sitting? etc..
Be interesting to see. Maybe we have a point forward?
Did Zack Kent redshirt? Great article about it in the News Sentinel the other day. Link below.Did Zack Kent redshirt? Asking for a friend.
The ticket office has a small, variable amount for each conference game and most non-conference games. They will be available to Tennessee fund donors/season ticket holders before they are offered to the general public. Not sure about the out of state thing but you might be able to pay for them and pick them up at will call. This is a stupid question, but does ut sell away tickets for b-ball games, like for a Tennessee section? And could you purchase if you’re out of state? I didn’t see anything on the website.
Thanks. I might do that. Would there be a way to find out what section could be mostly UT fans? I know for football there is but I don’t know if it applies to basketball or not.The ticket office has a small, variable amount for each conference game and most non-conference games. Could be a gamble but I’d recommend downloading an app called Gametime and buying them the day of. It’s a cheap way to buy last-minute tickets. It uses all of the major online ticket sites (StubHub, Ticketmaster, etc.) and shows you the best values as sellers drop their prices before the game starts.
Me and my buddy bought these tickets to the colts game this past weekend for 60 bucks.
According to the official roster, he didn't.Great article about it in the News Sentinel the other day. Link below.
