I want to see if Yves' late nights in the gym and a year in the system translate to him being a difference-maker. We may not see the true fruits until next season when Admiral is gone, but I want to see flashes this year.

He was starting to show flashes right at the end of last season! I think he can be the slasher we need!

Jalen. And it would be outstanding to see Fulkerson exceeding where he was versus UNC 2 seasons ago. I think that he had an excellent game at the high post versus KY at the TBA last season as well.

Jalen's progress will be very interesting to observe. With Schofield and Pons he might have a hard time getting valuable minutes at the 3. He wasn't a dead eye outside shooter, so getting time at the 2 from Bowden, Turner, and even Schofield/Bone will be a challenge. He hadn't displayed being any better than Bowden at handling the ball, so PG duties seem to be unlikely. But that guy could be great at driving into the paint from a wing and running the baseline without the ball. I'll be on the edge of my seat if he gets minutes opposite Pons on the wings. A couple of athletic freaks with 3 years of eligibility left.

And so many possible combinations down low. Barnes in-game decisions should be a lot more interesting this year. Or at least how he adjusts plans game to game. He should be able to orchestrate a lot of matchup problems for opponents.

Johnson and Pons imo. Offensively I think Johnson can be the slasher that we've desperately needed. Defensively I think Pons is going to be a shut down defender. Barnes said that he's the only guy on the team that can guard every position. We really need one of these guys to step up and try to take Schofield's place next year.

We're about to have back-to-back SEC POY, but it's not going to be Grant Williams getting it this year... THE Admiral will be receiving those honors this year. He's going to be a complete animal this year! He will be going down as one of my all time favorites, I'm going to be sad as hell seeing him leave.

If it’s just a scope, he may not miss much game time, if any, but he will definitely miss this invaluable practice time.

We seem to have the worst luck with tall, lanky white kids. Fulk has his own injury history, Kent now, and Pember missed some time with an injury too.

I honestly thought he would be back by now. I still would like to know what the breaking point was, since it had to be pretty big. I mean I've gotten into it with him several times in the past and I've seen him throw down with many others, but it was always something that died down or like with me we actually became cool with one another and didn't get into many disagreements anymore. Or if we did it was pretty much "agree to disagree" and move on.

Weird.

I called it months before it happened and told him as much...he was running out of things to continue to bash Barnes for. Prior to last year he could hang on to the fact we hadn’t won, seeing us have a Top 5 historically gold season wasn’t easy for him. At seasons end he was able to point to recruiting, then we landed DJ Burns and things started to unravel for him as he had no strings left to hold on to. Now that we have landed Josiah James and are likely to be a preseason Top 10 team there’s nothing else he can do except admit he was dead wrong which he isn’t capable of doing, that’s why I called it, I knew exactly where it was headed.
